El seleccionador Oscar Enrique Sánchez continúa en búsqueda de conformar la bicolor infantil. Esta semana trabaja en el Proyecto Gol con 20 jugadores de cuatro equipos y de la Academia Achik´. Glad to see the Achik squad has so many players called up. They are DEFINITELY trying to better our young players. I hope they keep it up.
I agree Dre, just like we talk bad of our Fed. we also got to give them credit for the good things they do and this is one of them, the Achik program.
One of my family members is on the Achik team and part of the Guate U-17 squad. He's an ambitious one, he's exploring his options abroad and I told him I'd help him even though I don't have any game film of him. They just came back from Barcelona where they placed 5th place in a tournament. Definitely doing something right.
Yeah, that's what I told him. Do you guys know of any companies that specialize in that in Guate? I did a google search and couldn't come up with anything. I know that here in the U.S. it's big business to produce game film of high school football stars for college football programs.
If you got a camera and a computer you can make your own highlight reel. Mail it to as many teams as you can and go from there.
Yeah, the problem is that I'm in L.A. I might go to Guate in a few months and hope to catch him in some competitive matches and shoot my own stuff. There's some really talented kids coming up in Guate. Achik has exposed them to playing tournaments in France, Qatar, Spain and these new breed of futbolleros are hungry.

Well I'm trying to see if I can represent him first. I even looked into getting certified and damn it's expensive, and you have to take a standardized test in Iowa or something. You can represent a player without a license if you're a family member. I wanna give it a go and if i fail then I'm gonna look for the best representation for him, thanks for the offer Guti.

U17 of Guatemala beats El Salvador 1-0 in a friendly yesterday La selección nacional sub17 de Guatemala ha vencido esta tarde un gol a cero a su similar de El Salvador, en juego amistoso realizado en el estadio Municipal de Amatitlan. El gol de la victoria de la azul y blanco fue obra del volante Paolo Ortiz a los 20 minutos del primer tiempo. It should be. I saw the Honduras vs. El Salvador game on a Guatemalan stream on justin.tv btw Honduras opened up the tournament with a 5-2 win over neighbors El Salvador.
3-2 with a gifted PK to win the match. Hat trick by Paolo Ortiz Roca. Yes the FK was excellent. Honduras trashed CR 3-0 and lead with 6 pts. Guate 4, NIC 1, CRC and ESA zero pts each. Honduras is basically qualified, El Salvador will be eliminated if they don't at least draw with CRC and beat NIC. If I'm not mistaken, Guatemala just needs 1 of 6 points vs HON and CRC to qualify as 3rd place, because only one of El Salvador and Costa Rica can get to 6 points, or both can get to 4. But hopefully the goal is to do a little better than that.
It seems as if we're waltzing through the competition.. need one point against Nicaragua.. lol we should put up like 7 I'd hate to be the team who needs a result from us in order to qualify to the next round.
I was mistaken, Costa Rica can still get 9 points. If El Salvador does not beat Costa Rica, Guate needs 1 more point. If El Salvador beats Costa Rica, Guate needs 1 point against Costa Rica or 2 points overall.
