I hope to god you don't mean Crocs as in the fugliest shoes ever designed. No offense to Crocs wearers but what drugs are you on!!!! (unless you're a nurse and need sensible shoes)
I was the biggest Croc hater in the world. I would laugh, point and call the boys and girls, the men and women, "classless" for wearing such a hideous shoe. My wife, a nurse, by the way...agrees 100%, she hates them. However, I got a pair over the winter from my mother-in law. It has the plush "fur" inside and I started wearing them just to take my dog out. Those shoes, as insulting as they are to style, are comfortable as hell. I had to get me a pair for the summer. I am now "one of those people"...
I've thought about it, you might be right. Still, a forum in NSR would be epic, AND I'd get to stop visiting styleforum.
Yeah, count me in, too. This forum will come in handy here, during the Spring Racing Carnival in Melbourne, especially for the Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington. Big-time fashionista watch going on around that time.
Hahaaaaaaaaaa! I accept that they're comfortable - but hope you only wear them in the dark regardless! A lot of comfortable shoe brands have stylish shoes these days. Half of the men and women in my country walk around on Birkenstocks this summer http://images.google.com/images?hl=...v=2&aq=2&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=birkenstock&gs_rfai= And Dr Scholl's!
Truth is honey, I have lived in the US for the last 4 years....have you seen what people wear here on an everyday basis? Fashion? What's that?
Americans are very good in the casual clothes dept it has to be said. And on the other side of the spectrum the formal clothes dept. In between they're a bit lacking in style!
I'm not a fan of Walmart but I undersatnd that it is the best place to go for one stop shopping. Sadly, all the mom and pop stores in down town USA are gone because of them...but you might enjoy this site.
The whole world is being made in China and sold in big box stores these days and it's only getting worse. Europe hasn't jumped wholeheartedly with both feet into that cesspool the way we in the States have (thankfully they don't fit their lifestyle quite so thoroughly), but they've stuck more than their little toes in there already. Affordability and convenience have a way of winning in the end. My life's work is largely a visual fight against that aesthetic and way of thinking, but as well as it's always been received, it hasn't always been all that lucrative. The economy of the world simply marches in the direction of the cheap, the mass-produced, and the big boxes, and the more niche something is, the less profitable on the whole...
Maybe someone could start a thread and if it gets enough traffic and posts, we can then get a subforum?
Hahahaaaaaa at the woman in the bathing suit!!! I'm hoping this is at a Walmart on the beach somewhere (please)
