Women are constantly evaluating the hotness parameters of her "congeners" and I don't remember seeing too often male teens hugging and kissing in the bus because they're going to be separated for the holidays...

I also remember a comment on a topic regarding Christina Hendricks and her being attractive to women as well. It was like : "I'm a mom of 2 kids and married but if I had the occasion, I'd do her !"

That was hot, just hoping it wasn't a 44 yo trucker from Arkansas posting that (always the danger on the internet).

I've believed this for a long time. Not that being close to another women will necessarily lead to romantic feelings but because we are conditioned to be open and intimate with other women, bisexuality is less of a leap for women than for many men.

Or maybe its just that women generally smell better.

Bar Skanks Announce Plans To Kiss

Today's kids are different yeah. It wasn't like this back in the day.

So was it nature, repressed in 1980? Or is it nurture, encouraged by 2010 fashions? I have no idea.

At any rate, my wife as with most in her generation will neither be impressed nor swayed. I on the other hand ... I was at a (mostly) lesbian bar in Austin last weekend, oh yes I did approve.

My wife attended a conference hosted by Smith College this summer. Quite a few lesbians in Northampton, MA. My guess is that a lot of the younger ones were doing their lesbian phase. Probably so. Having that be a socially acceptable introduction would be a small change indeed compared to how much change has occurred with matters sexual in 1980. Back then, we thought we were "liberated" as opposed to 1950, but actually we were far far away from where things were going. Maybe we are just as far away today from what the 2040 conventions will be.

Seriously, homemade porn has become so mainstream that the word porn has a whiff of the anachronistic. Makes me think of that George C. Scott 1980s movie Hardcore, back in the day where those who had sex on camera were assumed to have needle marks and missing teeth. Sex videos is the better and more accurate term.

There's also a longstanding cultural history of sexualizing the female form. And much less of a stigma associated with "intimate" female relationships than with similar relationships between men.
