Certainly. Although we may see Sterling for Suso. I wouldn't but we may see it.

Tied for 8th. This could be the proverbial "corner-turner" the pundits like to talk about. We're in a Tour de France situation where the Manchester clubs have broken away and the rest of the teams have split into two groups: a chase group (3rd-7th) and the peloton (everyone else). We're currently at the front of the peloton and if we win this we'll make a move towards joining the Chase group/breaking away from the peloton.

Lately we've gotten lazy with our miliministic game intro threads.
"Ho hum lets get this started. this is the smallest logo I can find, Stoke's looks better but not by much. Done now, that was nice and quick. No-one cares anyway."

The front runners all look like MLS players on sport enhancing drugs.

Well, it's official: Chelsea 8 Villa 0. A week after Villa waxes us at Anfield Chelsea firmly moves into 3rd. We really need this match at Stoke, but they seem to have our number (much like Spurs). Sadly, I'd be happy with a draw,

We never get any pelotons awarded anyway, so I'm all for being up in the chase group that 's where we belong...

Hilarious! Sorry for the Debby Downer(s) post.

I hope we stomp the Potters but it's this corner-turning win that I am skeptical of until we can get some new bodies up front and get some constancy with our finishing. Soooo close to the transfer window I can almost see through it!

I hope someone reminds Suarez of Pulis' comments about him being a diver every game. This is one where Suarez should stay on his feet on thrash Stoke for a hat trick.

    I can't stand Pulis.

Has anyone watched a stoke game this season, besides our first one? How has Charles Adam been doing? And I assume Michael Owen hasn't played much due to injury?

Charlie's father just passed away very unexpectedly. He may still be in Scotland for this match.

Owen is crocked. As usual. LAst I read he had made four sub appearances.

I can't say for certain whether or not I've watched a Stoke game. I was on a flight from Washington, DC to Albany, NY and somewhere over the mountains in Pennsylvania I thought I saw what looked like a football soaring just off the right wing of our plane. I thought there was only one team capable of lumping a ball that high and that far. It was a Thursday though so I don't think they were playing.

You'd remember if you'd ever stood on the wind and rain swept concrete on a cold December night. Then took the train home while you dripped on the seat. Still in the glow of a well earned win.

Was Madrid touring the US then? Could also have been Ramos practicing his penalties.
