It's on right now, but I missed the beginning again.

Yes. Basically, he doesn't expect to see Josh for the rest of the year, he thinks Ben will start tomorrow, he thinks Boswell is being benched, he thinks there will be changes to the pitch once baseball is over, but no changes to the stands, and he doesn't expect to see Gomez in a DCU uniform next year.

So no real surprises, I guess.

I like the idea of Boswell being benched - not because I want him to be benched, but because I think he'll respond well when he's challenged. I think he's a far better defender than he's shown this year.

Christian is already playing like his bags are packed, sad to say.

Boswell not starting against Columbus could have just been to give him rest, not starting against AFKAM will be a clear signal not just to Bobby, but to the entire team. Soehn did the same thing to Moreno earlier this season and, as I recall, Jaime responded very well.

Another reason why they signed Fred possibly?

I'm the person that emailed WPL/Goff the questions about Boswell being benched and Gomez coming back next year...and I wish I had added something about Fred in to the Gomez question.

After watching him for a few months, its obvious his best position(s) is as a withdrawn forward/attacking mid. I dont think he is a true #10, but sort of between Moreno and Gomez. Those two are probably wrapping up their MLS careers, while Fred is under 30. Makes sense to me.

If Fred was moved to middle I think our formation would be something like a 4-5-1, which makes me think finding wide players will be the target this offseason.

    No go, Go :(

The rest is predictable, except Boswell being benched.

Grass will be pemanently installed so it looks all nice by the time of MLS Cup, and the field will be widened a bit. I'm just making this up as I go.

Sounds like we're really setting up for some sort of DP next year with Gomez probably on his last season. Any word on whether he's going back to Argentina?

Goff said there's nothing going on in the Gomez-DCU negotiations right now. He thinks talks will resume in November, but doesn't think they will be successful - sides very far apart.

Can somebody tell me why Boswell is being benched? I realize that this year has been a little rougher than last year, but as far as the back line goes, I'm more comfortable with him in the back line than Burch, McTavish, or Vanney. (Namoff continues to be an almost flawless workhorse)
