Yes, it could be bogus. Seems like Stevie has been mentoring Raheem a little too closely though :(

You're not suggesting that he's given up the reggae for Phil Collins, are you?

Raheem has interesting relationships with women. There's no question about that. You wonder if there's anyone looking out for this kid? With whom does he surround himself?

His Mum and his girlfriend. He is very religious. Half his tweets are about TeamJesus or quotes from the Bible! I am not even joking.

So what you're saying is we should sign Tim Tebow so that he has a teammate to bond with :D

I found this linked from the BBC. Owen writes about playing too many games early on leading to injuries later in his career. I believe he's got a great point. Young Sterling needs to rest so he's more productive over the long term.

Owen also makes some great points about kids playing outdoors less due to all the gadgetry and TV time. Turn em loose. As my mom used to say, "Go outside and blow the stink off..."

Playing outside was never a problem for us. We had no TV so I'd be out most of the time playing footy, the never ending game, when you got tired of it or had to go and eat, you'd take your sweater off the heap that made up the goal posts and someone else would step in. We had what they called "Double summer time" back then, 2 hours of daylight saving and up in the north it would still be light at 11. That's when the mums would come yelling for the kids to get on home.
Nobody ever had to worry about kids in those day, pervs, kidnappers, etc.

It wasn't until the event of TV and shows that got the pervs going (like that criminal something? sick show that gives the pervs ideas) that we had to worry about kids. That's my theory anyway.

He's just trying to explain why he was piss-poor after he left Liverpool, and why he can't get a game at Stoke.

This contract situation is getting annoying. Three stories dedicated to it on ESPN soccer as well

You gotta admit. It's interesting to watch him pour out his innermost rationale for why his life wasn't a never-ending upward slope of happiness until the day he died.

Absolutely no acceptance or accountability for why he is where he's at. Sad.

Raheem Sterling is expected to sign a new contract with #LFC in the coming days. More on @BBCSport shortly ... @BenSmithBBC

The big losers here are the media outlet editors. No more ridiculous sterling to man u or swap deal for Walcott stories. Also, with our transfer targets apatently all agreed, what liverpool stories will they be able to run for the next six weeks? I guess they'll have to fall back to the Suarez leaving rumors.
