Although he doesn't have what it takes to be in the World Cup roster this year, he's got potential to be one of the key players in the next world cup.

What kind of player do you think he is? You think if he go Nuremberg this month, he will do well and be a starter?

He is a great passer and he's goods with long balls so I believe he takes freekicks and corners at Cerezo
Well I heard his negotiation between Nuremberg broke down last month.

What do you think are his weaknesses? How you feel about Kenyu Sugimoto by the way? How do you feel about Sugimoto's potential?

Definitely his physical. I felt like he didn't get enough opportunities this year. I don't really know about Sugimoto, we'll have to wait and see.

I think it is his technical skills, he can mess up some tap-ins, he need to work on his ball control.

    Maybe this :

    ------------------------- Kawashima/Nishikawa/Gonda

    Uchida/H.Sakai ------ Yoshida/Kurihara and Konno/Morishige ---- Nagatomo/G. Sakai

    -------------------------- Hasebe/Endo/Yamaguchi/Shibasaki (!)

    Okazaki/Usami -------------- Honda/Nakamura ----------------- Kagawa/Kiyotake

    ---------------------------------- Kakitani/Osako

Do you really wanna waste 2 spots with Kurihara and Nakamura?

I wanted Hiroki Yamada but I should forgive him since he will play in J2 (it's not like Konno and Endo, who already were JNT starters before the relegation of Gamba).

And Kurihara is clearly a default choice...

I'm not confident that Kurihara is going to the world cup
Shibasaki would be a funny surprise but Hosogai will be there. The only other big ? is if there will be another MF called like Takahashi last time, but he's a bit different because he can play as CB in 3-4-3 too. Maybe Aoyama has a chance, but it'll make it 5 MFs, so I'm not sure.

Usami, Inui and Saito will have a nice battle
Honda's replacement will still be Kagawa probably

I would replace Kurihara with Tatsuya Yamashita and Shibasaki with Hosogai.

Yes I am counting on Usami to impress enough to break into the WC squad. Which does not mean he ll be used a lot in WC though

Why don't Zaccheroni give guys like Usami, Yamaguchi, Tatsuya Yamashita, Makino and Takahashi a chance in the friendly against New Zealand?

I think we need a real forward, for example Toyoda o Kawamata.

I think Ogihara isn't good player that seems. Ogihara seems good because play near Yamaguchi. Ogihara allways has a lot of defensive mistakes and he can't start Cerezo's offensive game.

I know but he has potential. Yamaguchi improved a lot in the 2013 season compared to the 2012 season. He has what it takes to play well and make the squad in 2018 imo. Same for Shibasaki and Haraguchi too. Btw, you think he is a Pirlo or Xabi Alonso style of player?

Very possible line up except perhaps Makino. But I would pick him over Inoha any day

Here's my random prediction using part of naopon's template

    GK (3): Kawashima/Nishikawa/Gonda
    DF (8): Yoshida/Konno/Morishige/Nagatomo/Uchida/H. Sakai/G. Sakai/Makino
    MF (7): Endo/Hasebe/Yamaguchi/Hosogai/
    FW (5): Kagawa/Honda/Kiyotake/Okazaki/Saito/Kudo
    ST (2): Kakitani/Osako/(Okazaki)

I'm not really sure about Makino but I feel it could be him, even if I do not agree with it.
Kudo is also completely random and just based on the new zealand callup, I just have a feeling the 23th will be a young player overall (<25 yr).

    Here's what I would do:

    GK (3): Kawashima/Nishikawa/Gonda
    DF (8): Yoshida/Konno/Morishige/Nagatomo/Uchida/H. Sakai/G. Sakai/Shiotani
    MF (7): Endo/Hasebe/Yamaguchi/Hosogai/
    FW (5): Kagawa/Honda/Kiyotake/Okazaki/Saito/Haraguchi
    ST (2): Kakitani/Osako/(Okazaki)

Keeping an eye on Usami but :/ not sure he'd be ready
I'd also be tempted to bring Nagasawa instead of Haraguchi, tough choice.

I also respect Toyoda's season but I feel he's competing directly with Osako, and I prefer him.

Why is Shiotani there instead of Yamashita? And Nagasawa is there despite just playing a few games in 2.Bundesliga this year?

This is my JNT starting XI prediction:

    -----------------Kawashima---------------
    --Uchida--Yoshida--Konno--Nagatomo-
    -------------Hosogai--Endo---------------
    ---Kiyotake------Honda--------Kagawa---
    -----------------Kakitani-------------------

By using Kakitani in spite of Osako, I mean we'll play with no real center forward.

Sure we'll play w/o CW with this line cuz you missed Okazaki! Japan can't give up on him, he's too important for the team and the most likely scorer in the WC for sure!
