    Per the US Soccer Site:
    -------

    Guzan

    Cherundolo Onyewu Bocanegra (capt.) Pearce

    Bradley Mastroeni

    Donovan Beasley

    Ching Dempsey

    -------------

How do you defend this? A completely gassed Dempsey starting up front, 2 holding midfielders against a team who is going to put 10 behind the ball, and no Adu.

I don't see how this is explainable. Why not have a formation that attacks Barbados, and sit some of the players (see: Bradley/Dempsey) who are running on fumes at this point in the season.

    Ridiculous.

Looks good to me - he's got the best 11 on the field. Hopefully Donovan is up top with Dempsey in the midfield.
We'll see who the idiots are after the USA blasts BRB.

Well they will blast Barbados still probably because we are so much better, hell Bermuda beat them 3-0, but this lineup is crap without question and Bradley certainly does manage like a coward.

I guess this confirms Howard picked up a knock, but I don't think Barbados will do anything that Tim Howard could stop that Guzan couldn't.

I don't mind the line-up...and we'll see how it pans out in about 15 mins. If they struggle, you know damn well Adu is coming in. Eddie Johnson isn't starting doesn't that please 95% of you? I wouldn't mind seeing EJ play as he has excelled in WCQ games (7 games, 7 goals), but there... a lot of you got what you wished for. Now only because Adu isn't starting, you want to cry? Give me a break. You guys will NEVER be happy. You are critics not fans.

Anyone with eyes can see he is. He's lumbering all over the field lately.

I actually do see it as a "best xi" for an away game in hostile territory against a good team. However we're at home against Barbados so it's silly.

No, it's because Bradley once again is playing 2 Defensive midfielders against a team that plays 10 behind the ball, never changes his formations to take into account opposition, and puts our team in situations to be predictable.

Not starting EJ does please me...yes.

But not starting Freddy is just damn stupid.

    And yes...Dempsey has been tired.

i agree, i would rather see EJ than Ching. im only upset cuz we are still playing the double d-mid against a team that is surely going to lineup very defensive. like a poster stated earlier, BB is a coward.

    Baby Bradley AGAIN?

How can anyone possibly not advocate BB's immediate dismissal? I know that MB has played well for his club, but nobody can deny the nepotism any longer. You just can't.

I'm just so glad that we're going to be using the same tactics and formation at home to Barbados as we did away to England.

    That is truly unforgivable.

We may well blast Barbados. But if this is indeed our lineup I'm gonna throw in the towel and join those looking to change the coach.

doesn't bradley have to start a certain % of the time with the national team so his work permit to england won't be denied? maybe he's doing it for his sons future. which is a little messed up.

I'm in the minority and think it's a pretty decent line up
