Stars and Stripes

    Yeh, I missed the 4th...:)
    This is Sulgrave Manor, owned by all the folk of the US and UK. Why, It's the home of John Washington, Georgie's Great, great ? grandfather John. If you're ever in Engerland it's well worth the visit. They do a great tour.
    John bought the land from Henry the VIII after he confiscated it from the catholic church and built this house. About 1540.

    What is fun though, take a look at his heraldic crest over the door. He was in 2 big battles for Henry the "Two fields (Stripes) of blood" and received three spurs of valour for bravery, ( the stars.)

    Think that's a coincidence,,?
