Stanford players have received a lot of well deserved accolades this year, but KR named to Soccer America's 2011 All-Freshman second team, seriously? Stanford took it all despite her sub par performance. Sorry, but I can't agree with that selection AT ALL.
Kendall Romine had two perfectly clean tackles that prevented what could have been two breakaways. All season long she did a good job in defense. Yea she's no Cami, Quon, or Alina (yet), but she did a damn good job when asked to fill in. She is deserving of a second team all-american freshman award. (Sorry I saw her play in many games this season, and she always did a great job in my opinion.)
Congrats to Teresa Noyola for capturing the Hermann Trophy this year. An impressive feat for Stanford - O'Hara (2009), Press (2010), and now Noyola (2011). Go Stanford!
