A horse walks into a bar.

The bartender says 'why the long face?'

The horse says 'I have cancer'

    Well this looks fun...

what do a spinning back kick, a flight of stairs, and a gallon whiskey have in common?

All can be used for abortions.

And modest, too :) *wink wink*

Seriously, though, I was considering doing stand-ups for a bit, but my problem is that I get witty when I have a good conversational opponent to bounce jokes off, otherwise I don't get creative. Maybe a two-person show can work for me.

Theres this competition in canada called Yuk Yuks great Canadian Laugh Off or something like that, the winner gets 25k and they aired the finals on tv. If i knew of this i would have signed

When i saw who won, i almost had a heart attack. its a fecking shame to comedy and whoever judged this competition should be imprisoned FOR LIFE.

Ahhh, is that what's called comedy these days? There was a similar one in Chicago a few years ago and it was again won by someone like this.

I have a few friends that have given it a go. Some are brutally bad, one is pretty good. I'll go to these amateur comedy nights and am surprised at how good some people are. Most are awful, but there's usually 2-3 that are genuinely funny. I imagine it's a brutally competitive business.

Not only is it competitive its notoriously unrewarding especially the deserving, just ask the likes Patrice Oneal, Bill Burr, Nick Di Paolo and co. what they think of Whitney Cummings and her new show.

I like that show. Quite funny so far. Although I have no idea how good or bad she was as a comedian.
