Hiya again! Someone able to tell me more about the stadiums in Israel? Thinking about capacity, stands, roof and so on. Are there any stadiums under the Ligat HaAl which are nice to watch a game in? I am thinking about attenting this seasons Ramat Gan Derby, a game of Beit Shean, Beer Sheva, Ahi Nazareth and some more. Thanx!
Teddy is pretty awesome. and If you are looking for a good laugh there are now two Hapoel Jerusalem teams ("Katamon" and "Yona-Sasi") in the third and fourth leagues.
Wait a season and you could watch a match in the brand new Netanya stadium and maybe even the new Petach Tikva stadium.
Hey I'm from Katamon, that's awesome! I bet my cousins are on that team, so funny. They should be called the Katamon Kubbehs!
Teddy is the best, I hope UEFA will allow games there. Last year I went to a game in Bloomfield with a friend from Manchester so I asked him how it compared to the new Old Trafford and he told me it wasnt quite as nice.
Teddy is a very nice stadium and Bloomfield is very intimidating. The new stadiums they are going to build around the country all look nice and updated. They need a new National Stadium though, something around 55 - 60,000 capacity. Teddy is nice, but the only thing I dont like about it is that its open on one end.
If attendance at Teddy continues to improve, expect them to finish the open end of the stadium in the next couple of years.
The Sports Betting Council is going to fund a new 60,000 seat stadium that is scheduled to be completed by 2012, which means construction should begin in 2009.
You know how many things in this country were meant to be built and never have. I believe things when I see the shovel hit the ground, and that doesn't mean that it will happen 100%.
1. Whats going on with Kiryat Shomna? They make some renovation and building in their stadium, but why do they play in "Green"? At the half time talk the President said something about the IFA wont allow them to play in KS this year? Why did they allow Nazahret Illit to play in "Green"? 2. Whats up with the Commies from Tel Aviv? Why do they play in "Vinter" and now in "Herzliya"? Is it just for the Toto-Cup?
Hey, 1. The stadium of KS isn't good enough, The lighting bad and they have only 2500 seats. Eventually, KS playing in KS and they have to play only in the sun. 2. Hapoel Tel Aviv punishment is to be out of Bloomfield for 2 games because in the last derby game that hapoel won 3-0, one of the fans of hapoel ran into the field and we had pyrotechnic show.
here pictures of the big studiums if you want to see. ramat gan (israel national team) http://www.isr-football.net/aiztadyonim/galeri/rm3.jpg http://www.isr-football.net/aiztadyonim/galeri/rm1.jpg Teddy (Beitar Jerusalem + hapoel jerusalem Blumfild (maccabi and hapole tel aviv) http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/middle_east/israel/tel_aviv_bloomfield1.jpg http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/middle_east/israel/tel_aviv_bloomfield2.jpg kiriat eliezer (maccabi and hapoel haifa) http://www.mhaifa.co.il/TheClub/Images/Ke-2.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._Stadium.jpg/250px-Qiryat_Eliezer_Stadium.jpg
P.S I would love to see a new national stadium. I read somewhere about the IFA considering building a dstate of the art stadium for the country. I'am currently excited to see if the reveal any plans, and also to hear if Canada they go ahead with a big stadium in Vancouver for there entry into the MLS.
