is really is a shame the trashiest club in the league gets to play there. how does a team called THE REB BULLS with no fans and an image/brand so cheesy disney is blushing, get a palace that amazing?
a little amateur action for you guys. BMO field undergoin some construction. I guess they are going to be adding a ton of seating over the next couple years. Best part about it though, ALL GRASS
Chesterfield FC in England will be leaving their historic, but dumpy Saltergate ground next month - and opening (lame corporate name warning) B2net Stadium in the Summer... Saltergate, from the away toilets (not kidding, I've been there. You basically pee on an uncovered brick wall. Nice thing is that you can still see the match!) New ground Capacity - just over 10,000 Construction time - about 1 year Cost - £13 million (under $20 million!) :-O
Hmmm... Valley Parade... Meadow Lane? Now I'm going to have to look into it. And looking into it -- (aside) Hallam FC in Sheffield claim Sandygate as the world's oldest football ground. Hence the Web site... http://www.theoldestfootballgroundintheworld.com/ Saltergate is the oldest League ground at the moment. Other oldies: Turf Moor (1883) Valley Parade (1886) Craven Cottage (1896) But I think the honor will be shifted to Wrexham this Summer... The Racecourse Ground (1872)
i've always been a fan of the classic english stadiums. low ceilings, 4 straight stands. sad to see saltergate go, it looks so much cooler than the new design.
Holy crap! http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1074494 http://www.allenisd.org/20061061015...Bond Project Artwork-Files/Stadium Update.pdf
sad thing is - Texas is one of the states doing very well in the recovery. Job numbers are up. Where you WON'T see this happen is Florida
And in all fairness, the school district is building a performing arts center for an equally staggering amount of money.
I couldn't figure out who it was...and I was loving those shots...then I saw Union...awesome, just awesome. The bridge in the background and the open end is great.
