Yeah I read that and scoffed, should have said, instead of "which can't happen fast enough", "can't crawl along any more slowly". As if all you need is a map and a red sharpie and you assemble that property. The idea of a city leader "spearheading" that project is laughable.
Word is that the City Administrator is taking the lead on the stadium project, which is an odd choice. DMPED would have been the more natural agency to work on a real estate deal.
Yes, they do. But, hey, it's a metaphor. Thohir is the unicorn and the public/private partnership is the pooped gold. You gotta keep up. asitis
So the task is for the City to create an area that would allow said unicorn (or local team owner/investor) to drop some of his Skittles/gold. What kind of work would a City Administrator need to do to create an appropriately sized site for a new unicorn playpen/sty area?
I am in for the unicorns pooping skittles .. I just want to make sure it is not Cartman (Payne) pooping gold coins he ate.
agreed. and one might as well try to get is as close by as possible to that recent prancing Lerner unicorn area.
The revolution are looking at the old Minotaur breeding and racing grounds in revere for their new stadium. With the outsourcing of the mystical creature industry to southeast Asia , those areas seem ripe for redevelopment.
I like how in no time this stadium piece escalated into unicorns pooping golden Skittles... This place is truly magical!
Craig Stouffer's write-up from 9/24/12 was initially and always going to be about unicorns pooping golden Skittles. He just opted to bury the lead item under numerous paragraphs about some nonsense concerning a possible MLS soccer stadium in DC. The headline of the day was going to include the word "push" regardless.
Which was what, personnel problems? I bet starting Bosko and Sahili would magically create a stadium for us!
Some soccer franchise in the area is getting a stadium and it's not named United; in fact it has no name, yet. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...r-to-nasl-franchise/?wprss=rss_soccer-insider
