Since Wilt is involved with the Indy stadium/team - I believe there is a strong possibility it actually happens. The "cosmos"? yeah, whatever, if it's completely done and open for six months, then maybe I'll believe it. That "team" is mostly hot air. Hopefully like the Hindenburg.
The Cosmos stadium renditions look beautiful. The Indy one looks like a screenshot from football manager
Does anyone get the feeling that nothing is going to happen until the team's departure is imminent? When United says, 'We are leaving on X date at X time', they can expect a call on the eve of X date at X time. So very DC to drag it out until it jumps in their lap and can no longer be avoided.
In my humble opinion, DC united isn't very high up on the priorities list for them to worry to much about it.
Because you know stangspritzring cries at the drop of a hat, or because you'd rather see stadium pr0n?
Somehow, I'm surprised that's the first article detailing walking the area. I drive around there every few weeks and have walked once. Thanks to DHS, I don't walk anymore nor do I attempt to park. I'm actually slightly surprised they were taking pictures around there without politely being welcomed to the community by one of the fine police groups that uses the area.
I recently moved from Virginia into the District. I am not a DCU fan, but would like to do my small part to pressure my Councilmember to support a stadium. Does anyone know if there are talking points somewhere that I can draw on? Thanks.
...and has since translated them into Canadian (and subsequently into New Zealander for the potential benefit of Coach Nielsen).
I don't think there are any *right now* - but I would hope the new people in charge might engage us fans at some point - there was a push from fans last year that seemed to be gaining some momentum, on twitter if nowhere else, but it fizzled out - maybe it'll start up again soon for 2013.
Am I at least correct that the intention is to finance the stadium privately and use public funds only for infrastructure?

Wait a minute, I'm really weirded out right now. Glitch in the matrix, or joke I'm not getting? EDIT, lol, oh okay nm.
