There's no way he "resigned", I'm hearing that he was told to go but could resign to save face. I also heard that he was asleep in his office last week when the PSG delegation arrived. Was making no signings the plan all along? I don't think so; "Never assign anything to malice that can equally be explained by incompetence."

If you were a pro-footballer would you sign for a club where Kinnear was the bloke trying to persuade you to join?

Thank f*ck he's gone though. Now we just wait to see who the replacement is.

I totally believe the lazy bastard was snoring away at his desk. (The Farrelly brothers should make a film about all this.) Seriously though, what did Ashley expect?

I think Ashley got what he wanted, and he's too clever to stick it to the fans this way for another season. Next it will be a better name DoF, but a year for now it will be the same results,

    Thx,

    Jay!

He's kinda of nutty in the "so passionate I want to resign everyday because I've failed or I was offended way" not a bad choice but he has baggage.

Obviously ambitious, though, and built a damn good setup down there before he was forced out. Would probably clash with Pardew like they did at Southampton though so can't see it happening.

He would clash with Ashley more than Pardew imo but yeah he's ambitious.

That too. Was more pointing out there's demonstrated history between him and one of the parties already here.

If by "good work" he means shitting all over a once proud football club, then yeah, they've all been doing great work.

Reserve coach Willie Donachie has left the club. He was suspended earlier today, allegedly for striking Remie Streete after they lost the reserve derby.

While punching someone is over the line, it's sad that we're now rid of the only display of caring about the derby I can recall from this round.

    Imagine

    Imagine there’s a signing

    It’s easy if you try

    No more selling for us

    It’s not all about Sky

    Imagine all the signings

    Especially today

    *

Imagine we bought from other countries

    It isn’t hard to do

It’s not just Frenchmen were going for

    And no more Dutchmen too

    Imagine all the signings

    Living life in Toon….

    *

You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one

I hope someday you’ll join us

And the the Mags will be as one

    *

    Imagine no NUFC Direct

    I wonder if you can

No need for gnomes or onesies

    Just ********ing cheap tickets man

    *

    Imagine all the Geordies

    Not in Ashleys world

You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one

I hope someday you’ll join us

And the Mags will live as one
