Back at home to take on the Earthquakes. This is the second to last game against the West this season, currently we're 5-1-1 with games vs SJ and Seattle left.

There's the possibility that we will be without Espinoza, Kamara, and Zusi for this one. Definitely a big hit. San Jose could also be without players at well, Wondolowski and Victor Bernardez.

SJ play wednesday at HDC. Lenhart and Corrales are in jeopardy of missing our match if booked.

Their injury report updated today 5/22:
SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES -- OUT: MF Joey Gjertsen (R knee surgery); MF Shea Salinas (L clavicle fracture); DF Tim Ward (L non-specific soft tissue injury); QUESTIONABLE: DF Victor Bernardez (L knee MCL sprain); MF Marvin Chavez (L hamstring strain)

Another week where KC play a team on shorter rest, we have 1 point from the 3 so far

I'm still being selfishly hopeful about Zusi getting cut from the US roster, but it's great that we will have Roger and Kei available. I like our chances a lot better now, even if Zusi stays with USMNT. Maybe we will get to see the Haitan Xavi get his first start.

Weatherwise, it's gonna be a hot one. Wear your sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen, boys and girls! And hydrate with WATER, not beer.....;)

So does that mean you need to drink 20% more beer to stay hydrated?

If you believe in the sports "hangover", you've got to feel better about this Sunday now.

Good to hear this, but Collin will be sorely disappointed.

At least we won't have to worry about Collin breathing on Lenhart, causing him to go down in a heap in the box. ;)

Apparently Alan Gordon is the one to worry about late in the game now. Need to cover him like a blanket from minute 80 on, cuz we don't want to get Seattle'd (my term for losing a lead late in the game). I am starting to reeeeeeeally look forward to this one now.

This is the perfect game to make a statement. We're well rested, San Jose just had a game yesterday, Roger should be back, Teal is scoring again, and most importantly we're pissed.

Man, we really need to win this one. Not just because of the lineups or because it's a home game, but because we have 1 point in the last 4 games right now. We've wasted away our cushion over everyone else and we need to win just to keep up with DC, NY, RSL, SJ, and Seattle. If we're really pushing for the supporters shield this season (and it hasn't looked like we were this month), we have to get three points out of a game like this.

Someone needs to tell this commentator that it's not Aurelio Collin.

Even by the very, very low standards of the USSF, Baldomero Toledo was a disgrace to the officiating profession today.

Jon Busch, enjoy your well-deserved suspension and fine. That was just about as scummy a move as a player can make.

As for our guys, that was mostly a hell of a lot of fun to watch. Props to Vermes for taking advantage of the personnel mismatches up top.

I hope Seth has a close, personal friend to help with his intimate needs for the next few days. Man, that guy has some bad luck.
