The dumping crosses late got old, Harrington was a disaster, and Teal, well...how do you miss a simple pass into a open net?

Crew seemed to play a high line in the first half (as did Montpellier for the whole game) and that was effective.

Do we not have any patience to build a good attack?

That seems to be one of the differences I have noticed from our early season, winning play and now.

Oooooooooooooh my gawd that was bad.

Missed AC on the first goal. The second is all on Zusi's bad pass. We missed Roger the entire time. Offense still has trouble scoring unless it's a corner or free kick. Bad, bad, bad.

We started dumping at about the 78th minute, and with all the flopping you knew there would be at least 4 minutes of stoppage. That's at least 16 minutes with a crazy crowd at your back and Columbus on their heels to have some patience. But who has the vision and presence at the midfield to slow things down and create? Joseph?

After seeing Markovic for two games, I like the leadership and aggression, but if he keeps at this pace, we're going to live up to the rep as the biggest hacks in the league.

I've seen several games where when we play at home, the guys press too hard to make the crazy crowd pleaser instead of just doing the patient, methodical work. It wouldn't surprise me to see us have better results on the road the remainder of the year than at home.

I'm not going to excuse Zusi's pass cause that was all on him but why did they get the free kick that led to that goal in the first place. The ref randomly stoped play cause the cbus player was on the ground while we had possession, so why did they get the ball when play resumed? Did I miss something?

I was trying to figure that out as well.

And I'm still trying to figure out why Vermes put on 3 defensive minded subs when down a goal and why Sapong was our only forward on the bench.

I think I might have pissed off the people sitting around me because I was cussing up a storm once the second sub was made and when the third one was made, I was just livid. I jetted out of the stadium as soon as the whistle was blown and walked in the rocks to my car because I needed to get the fvck out of their ASAP. I just dont get it the usage of subs. PV has always had a problem with game management but this was just outright stupid.

We put in 30 crosses tonight and I bet half of those came in the last 20 minutes. It would have been nice to have a fresh set of legs out there trying to get on those crosses, especially someone with CJ's talent. Not saying we would have gotten the point but it would have worked a hell of a lot better than having two guys who are defenders and very little to no MLS experience out there.

Aiyegbusi and Markovic didnt play poorly at all so I am not saying anything about their abilities but they just werent the personnel needed for this situation. I really would love to hear an explanation as to why these choices were made. I am really perplexed how a professional manager can make these decisions. If CJ picked up a knock in training or something, it really presents a problem for us going forward that we lack offensive depth.

I was really hoping we were just going through a slump until tonight. Now, I am really concerned about the abilities of this team to win when it counts and I am more nervous now than ever for August 8th. If our defense allows more than a goal, I am not sure we can count on lifting the trophy that night because I have no confidence that we can score two on anyone right now.

Not getting the PV hate on this one. Whatever changes he made at half worked. We dominated the second half. Not his fault no one can put a sitter in the net. Firing crosses wasn't the issue. We got on the end of plenty of them. And who would you have had be creative in the middle? Zusi looked like crap tonight. Joseph? Maybe, but he makes me just as nervous as the other guys. Subs, maybe strange but there wasn't a ton of options. Convey was worse than Teal, he needed to come off. And we have seen how well CJ+Teal has gone this year (not that well). Peterson was injury. Olum was (it appeared) injury.

The team lost this game. Period. Zusi had one of the biggest brain farts ever. LSP was silent for about a half hour after that. Totally shocked.

To find positives. Besler was awesome. The first goal he was in the area but it was still Olum's mark as far as I am concerned. Other than that he was everywhere. I want to see him get a call up at some point.

Harrington played one of the worst games I have ever seen.

Wasn't Vermes a forward in his younger playing days? In fact didn't Gansler play him at forward in the World Cup?

I think PV is doing the best with what he's been given. We are a little over 5 goals behind last year's scoring pace (5.34 to be exact) of 1.47 goals/game. While Markovic and Rosell are probably great defenders we still sorely need someone to pick up Bravo's production. Kamara and JP have been good...the other attackers not so much.

You guys are too much sometimes. We lost a game and people are looking for someone to blame. Tonight just wasent our night. Two crossbars, Several great saves from Andy. We just need a little bit of PATIENCE.

By thee way did it ever occur to you that Pv did not bring on Cj because of his laziness lately. The past few games you guys sure were complaining about it. Maybe he wanted to see how Little K, Markovic would play in these kinds of situations. If they would step up and play better in these situations. We are near the top of the east, making the playoffs definitely.

I see you're still misrepresenting the Aiyegbusi sub.

Despite where he played, he's not an attacking minded sub.

0 wins in our last 4 games at home. 1 goal scored in those 4 games. I think people have every right to find someone to blame. If this was one game with the shooting issues it'd be one thing, but this team has been struggling to score at home ever since the home opener. We've scored 9 goals in the 10 league games at home since the 3-0 home opener over New England. This is not something new.

Then don't dress him and have another forward on the bench.

I personally don't want to just make the playoffs, I want to win trophies, and the way we're playing isn't going to do that.

Glad that you get to decide what is and isn't an attacking minded sub.

Do I get to do that too? If CJ comes in for Teal I can say "Why would we bring such a negative, defensive minded sub on?"

You may not LIKE the sub, that's fine, but to say it wasn't attack minded is 100% wrong.

Arrieta is the type of player I'd love for us to have. The guy takes advantage of the opportunities that he is given. I don't care if they were due to breakdowns by SKC. Guy makes a run and does a "clinical finish". Then, sees a chance after a gift and fires a rocket to the back corner from I'd guess 30 out.

After Peterson was injured, PV summoned CJ to sub. From where I sit I could see that PV was upset with him. They had a few words and CJ goes back and little K comes on. My view of it was either CJ wasnIt fully fit and PV was not made aware of it or he did not feel CJ was ready to play. Was Saad out injured? I know he played tues but I think he could have gone 20 min. Either way the issue is and remains no ability to finish by anyone consistently. They have played well enough and controlled most of the last 4 at home but just can't finish. I'm hopeful that this just represents a rough patch but the production in the last 15 games suggests this is the real SKC, not the first 7. We are really missing Bravo's production and leadership

Why do you say that? He was caught completely out of position because, rightfully so, he didn't expect Zusi to just give Columbus the ball right there.

These results were must easier to stomach a few years ago when we sucked and they were expected.

I thought it was a fantastic strike. I haven't seen the replay, but it seemed like it went into the corner.
