I thought this was especially true when Saad and Dom got their start in the USOC match. Both looked capable of being MLS players in a standard system but didn't really know their role's in the high tempo 4-3-3 we've got going on. I think Soony is sort of figuring it out and I think by the end of the season he'll have a role to play. Dom may be another season off, but I saw enough potential there to not write him off yet.

But, yeah, until Soony get's comfortable with his place in our style of play I don't think he'll be starting much. He's got good placement and a nose for goal though.

where I could see Saad thriving is under/off the striker, but I dont know how that works in a 4-3-3. He may be a better finisher in and around the goal then the others based on how he seems to be hitting the target. Ive chalked this result up as one of those games with poor finishing/hot keeper and one defensive malrotation. Chi had a plan to counter and it worked. SKC carried the play and tempo, just couldnt finish-ChivasUSA last yr was similar but we were saved by Bravo. My bigger concern is whether this team and PV have the answers to adjust to teams who play this way against us-Hou, Mont, now chi. the script has been written for the league, esp at LSP. I would like to see more possession that leads to better chances on goal. More combo play with CJ/Teal/Zusi to have some attack at the central defenders up the middle and not just hopeful crosses. 15+ shots off target ain't gonna get it done. PV may be stubborn to a fault to change too much
