He needs to score more consistently if he's wanting to move abroad, he has the skills and the size, but he needs to score closer to or over 10 this year

I really hope the FO calls this kid in and gave him a raise.

I could be wrong about this but I am not sure they can just do that with the MLS rules. Mike might be able to correct me on that if I am wrong.

Contracts can be reworked, so they could defintely give him a raise, Vermes said earlier this offseason that a few guys had earned raises.

I was thinking there was something about rookie contracts though. Arent most of them standard across the board or am I only thinking of GA contracts?

4-0 at half between the US and the US U-23 team. Teal and Graham have scored for the US.

I always thought there was a huge gap between our youth squads and the full nats that was preventing the US from really breaking out from CONCACAF and being a top tier world player...

But hey, good for Teal and Graham :D

Its all on twitter. Various analysts have given updates along with the official Ussoccer account. Sure wish there was a stream; hopefully we'll get a highlights video (I would think so).

    @ussoccer and @adamserrano

Except that quite a few U23 players are with the full team, including Teal, Agudelo, and Hamid just to name a few.

And Sapong is on for the second half.

"The #USMNT has come out flying. A quick series of passes sees
Feilhaber spring Zusi in for a nice finish and the first goal."

    Way to go Zusi.

EDIT: And apparently Teal got behind the defense, but was called offside. He's playing for the U-23s in this game.

Teal and CJ started up top in the second half for the senior team. Ended up tied 1-1. McInerney scored the equalizer.

The Zusi radar is definitely up and running.

The 1/20/12 espn USMNT soccer blog reads like a SKC report written by C. Gooch. Atta boys !

EDIT: thought theyre not like for like, it sure would be great to see Zusi oust beckerman from the mid. Screw Beckerman.

Your wish may be granted. Beckerman is out with an injury along with Agudelo (which makes it even more likely CJ/Teal get to play).

I know better, I really do. But I went to USA Men's N&A and started reading the post game thread. Good lord, what a bunch of insufferable douche bags.

Yeah I just read through it. Didn't see the game, but to hear them tell it we would have won by 7 goals if only Zusi and Teal had been replaced by traffic cones.

And btw when did Holden become a center mid? I swear I remember him being a winger.
