Wages paid in full, plus taxes on the sale, next up Sporting is exercising option on Nabil Ghilas for 1.6*. That's all the RvW money gone.

Additionally Mexer the Mozambican CB is going to be given a chance in Pre-season with us. Apparently BdC has met with him and promised him a chance.

Has anyone seen him play before? Like is he more capable that Bouhlarouz...Ilori?

Mexer is serviceable, not a full time starter but a decent role player.

I suspect Mexer being given a chance again is just a means to please a still unknown mozambican investor.

We don't even own him anymore.. Really doubt he'll be a part of pre season.
Pretty sure BdC didn't meet with him either.

Insúa must be pissed off , since he left Sporting and joined At. Madrid, hasn't played a single minute.

He or his agent should've done some research about the quality of Atletico's current LB.

There are two types of star players in Liga Sagres: (1) those that move on and become even greater and (2) those that move on and fail.

Generally these players are usually getting their first taste of European Football in Liga Sagres, but on occasion they have already been in Europe for a few years and are trying to take a step back to take a step forward.

Insua has been around the block in Europe. England, Greece...it's pretty safe to say what we saw is probably the player he will always be. A clutch goal here and there, some solid offense and defense, but never a top 10 in the world LB.

Insua could have stayed and been a star in Liga Sagres, but he decided to chance it and see if he can cut it for a big club in Spain, while he had already failed at Liverpool to do the same.

He'll eventually return to Portugal, probably at Benfica. But whatever. Insua could've had a long meaningful career here if he just admitted to himself what he is, a great 2nd tier LB as opposed to a fringe top tier LB.

You called it, has to be a loan, since there is a no Portugal clubs clause in his transfer to AM.

and then a bigger world wide site picked it up:

Of course, you would have to believe the record.
