Bettencourt is gone, the dust has settled (for now anyways) on a controversial election campain

we are left with...Godinho Lopes. yeah exciting stuff. but Still no matter what anyone says it will be EXTREMELY HARD to do a worse job then his illustrious predecessor did.

Luis Duque and Carlos Freitas will be in charge of helping to rebuild the squad for next season. They both have decent track records and were credited with helping form past Sporting championship sides.

Right now alot of rumours that Domingos Paciencia could be our coach next season, today Eran Zahavi (Hapoel tel aviv) said in a bola hes been talking to Sporting so thats another possible reinforcement.

Also some more youths like Wilson Eduardo and Renato Neto could get a look in for next year.

Rodriguez is a good signing. Definitely better then Polga or Abel. He's been great for Braga this season. Still only 27, definitely good years left in him.

According to Bola Branca, Bobo, Alex Silva and Rodriguez are "secured" for next season.

Other players like Oscar Wendt and Eran Zahavi are still being negotiated.

A bola today links us with Neira (Gimnasia, Argentina, 22 yrs Argentine forward) could come on a free transfer potentially. 19 games 7 goals

cover of record has us linked to another Argentine, Leto 24 yrs, currently on Panathainaikos (Carlos Freitas' previous club) he is a left winger.

He is good in his position when he plays, which isn't a lot because of his tendency to be in the injured list.

This team needs a new defensive left-side, a young/active/tough/physical DM, a gamechanger on the wings, and a solid alternative for Postiga to keep him on his toes and working hard.

Also, what to do with Vuk, Izmailov, Maniche (smh), Zapater, Cristiano (contract is over end of season, right?), Saleiro and Djalo. Need an overhaul, but the new president doesn't have the funds that BdC was bringing, so it's gonna be painful.

Jo is beyond terrible, that rumor is not a positive one to me. The club should look younger and with more upside.

Yeah I agree on the fact that he's not really good enough, but the mention of spending 7mil is atleast hopefully a true thing :)

Having 7 million to spend is a good thing, using that money on a turd like Jo is not.

Hmm...even though he is a reject he isn't necessarily a Pongolle either. As far as I know he had a good pre-season but he's blocked by the likes of Tevez in the first team.
Risky, but it's one I think that it would go relatively well.

I think what really matters is to figure out how much Sporting can spend....

All three newspapers have Carrillo coming to Sporting, and the Peruian media has said the same thing. I;m hearing the deal is 1.5M for 85% of his pass.

As for Nogolle, he can ******** off, biggest flop in the clubs history. Shows the guy has no ambition.

Jo might be a good piece of business, but 7 mil. is way too much for him.

Agreed. Maybe on loan to see if he is even worth 1/2 mil

André Carrillo sounds like a nice signing, congrats guys. Also, nice to hear Izmailov express his loyalty to the club...he's my favourite Sporting player, so I really hope he does well next season.

yeah sounds like a good signing, young and has potential and only 1 million for 85%.

    Godinho Lopes > Bettencourt.

This signing sounds interesting, and youth is always welcome especially after seeing the way this squad has looked this season.
