I want this game over with in the first half...so we can sit back and relax...(Sorry Gooddead) I also hope since it's the last game of the year that the fans come out and support the team. I want to see 50,000 at Alvalade "Uma curva belíssima, uma equipa fantástica, és a nossa fé, FORÇA SPORTING ALLEZ!!!"
Ahh what a treat Braga get a whole bunch of plastics for this one. It's kinda nice to know that what Braga does in this game will lead to: A: Blame for not getting a certain team directly to the CL or B: Self recognition that another team got into the CL only because we beat the #2 team straight up twice, whereas they couldn't even do it once. Either way my team is where they are, I want a win but their won't be that much more bragging rights then what we got for beating you guys at home since we won't get out of the 4th spot. Best of Luck hopefully it is as entertainning as the first game.
even if Sporting ties, I beleive SCP is guarrenteed second spot so I am praying for at least a tie, since it would gurantee sporting the second spot but really I hope for a win, as I hope Sporting wins everytime they play ofcourse but I especially want them to win, and hopefully Wender gets embarrassed and scores a terrible own goal (like in USA vs Portugal 2002 WC that american dude did a diving header straight into his own goal LOL) because I hate Wender after he stuck up Alvalade when he was at the club earlier in the year, but then came back to lead braga to the 3-2 win over Sporting. Lets hope a huge crowd comes to cheer on Sporting to second place and beat Braga!! It would be great if Sporting wins, and then Sa Pinto comes out and makes an appearance at the end (obviously he cant play, but would be nice if he came out after the game) so he can get the goodbye he deserves from the SPORTINGUISTAS!!! Forca Sporting.
Sure I am, and you are still the most dillusional Portuguese on the face of the earth. Time for a quick break make sure your back in 3 hours
I´m going to to Alvalade this Sunday to support my team. Sporting only need one point, however our defense will be weaker without Polga. But i´m convinced our boys are gonna play nice and we sure diserve the champions league! Next season we could make an even better team. Fabio Paim is ready to rock, Nani with pre-season will be fit to play every games, Zezinando may be upgraded to Custodio´s sucessor place, and all I hope Paulo Bento stays. He is a fine coach and I see in advance a great future to him! Forgive me any bad english but I live in Lisbon and I´m portuguese! Why don´t you all talk portuguese? anyway the passion for SPORTING is universal so everybody understands when we talk about the Lions! SÓ POR TI VOU CANTAR, SÓ POR TI VOU CANTAR SPORTING ALLEZ, SPORTING ALLEZ, SPORTING ALLEZ! FORÇA SPORTING, SEMPRE!
A couple of notes...this will most likely be the last game for GK Nelson as his contract runs out after this year. Last game for our captain Sa Pinto...obviously he is not playing and we can thank the great league that we play in for this.
Hmm.. I don´t think Sa Pinto will end this year his carrer. I suppose the way it all ended is not Sá Pinto´s way of ending things and so he will do another season. The players are pressing him towards it as you can see (in portuguese newspaper, A Bola): "Liedson deu ainda conta da vontade reinante no balneário para que Sá Pinto reconsidere e aceite jogar mais uma época. «É um grande jogador e uma excelente pessoa. Gostaria que pudesse jogar mais uma época. Não é justo acabar como acabou, não pode manchar a carreira com uma despedida assim. Temos falado com ele no balneário, tem balançado um pouco, mas a decisão será sempre dele», frisou o avançado. " I think he will do another season more like a second "manager" than as a player. At this point his presence and motivation are better than his legs. and that is important too!
O Paulo nao e desse tipo, joga sempre pra ganhar. Viva o Sporting.
Bem Vindo, Kubrick I envy you that you have the chance to go the game on Sunday - or any game, for that matter... I feel that Sporting will do enough to secure the one point and still go for the win. Braga is a very strong team, and will want to send Jesualdo Ferreira out with a positive result, so they are not going to lie down. I just feel that Sporting has too much to play for to lose the one point that they need.
