The Motherwell call-off has led to a hell of a lot of p*ssed-off Dons fans, not to mention the club.

The game was called off at 1:45pm, only 75 minutes before kick-off. It takes just over 3 hours to get to Motherwell from Aberdeen so all Aberdeen-based fans going to the game would have been well into their journeys at the time of postponement.

Motherwell officials had spent the whole week claiming that there wouldn't be a problem with the wintery weather and Fir Park's lack of undersoil heating.
This picture of the referee at the stadium seems to suggest a problem with the pitch that must have been detectable long before the time the game was actually called off.

Aberdeen are nae happy bunnies either.
An Aberdeen spokesman said on the official website:
""We are extremely disappointed that the game has been called off so late in the day. Many fans have travelled in very difficult conditions to get here only to find that there was no match to see.

"However colleagues at Motherwell have assured us that the pitch was playable at 12 o'clock and that no earlier inspection was required."

Spoke too soon 4-1 at the finish, looks like we needed to adjust to the cold ;)

Nothing like pissing off the people that pay the bills.

I feel bad for the Aberdeen players and supporters. 'Well really dropped the ball on this one.

Hey Celtic won! A win is win in my book no matter by how much.
