Sergio Ramos is the captain? With Marchena there?

He will hardly play. This is a friendly, I don't see him taking out Villa or Torres that fast in a match that counts. Especially considering one of the first subs in would be Navas or Cesc or Mata.

Sorry about joining late but was running a concall at work. I don't think that Torres will be at 100% and therefore Llorente may get a chance in South Africa.

I think Del Bosque would sooner play with an extra midfielder in an official game than play 2 strikers with Llorente being one of them. I see that as his preferred formation anyhow, the only problem is he can not bench Villa or Torres to do so now.

    edit: damn, Llorente close there

Del Bosque is really Dumb. Against South Korea you keep Llorente on the pitch and partner him with Villa, not sub one for the other.

I think Del Bosque is going with one man up top for the whole World Cup.

He has been our best attacking player this game.

Javi out for Silva, Xabi our only 'defensive' mid now.

South Korea is very disciplined in their play. Combine that with our slow play it makes for a predictable game. I really think our lack of speed variation in our game will hurt us in the World Cup.

Typical of Villa this season. He's not had the best of years, can't be missing opportunities when the real thing starts.

I hope these last minute winning strikes are limited to just friendlies. I don't think I'll survive the Mundial if it becomes the norm.
Although... as long as La Furia wins, eh?

There's been a scientific test to see what kind of goals "feel" the best, and the last minute winning goals feel so much better than being up front much earlier in the game and winning it.

The only kind of goal which can top it, is the being down the entire game and scoring the equaliser AND winning goal in the last minutes. :D
