Michelle Sturino is now aware of the pronounciation issue.

She needs to take ownership of her work seriously if she wants to move up the food chain.

September 1 will come soon enough and she knows that very demanding U.S. viewers will be tuning in if she were retained by Rogers to anchor the new show.

Basically, Michelle Sturino can decide whether she wants to be taken seriously by the U.S. viewing audience.

She now knows about how Lara B. wore out her welcome at FSR, both with the co-workers in Winnipeg and with the U.S. viewing audience.

I'm dying to know...huhe, you realize the way you name people is odd, right? Why not write "she" for the 2nd reference, or just use her first or last name? Then you don't write out Lara's name.

    Why do you do this?

Michelle Lissel returned to Winnipeg on Friday night. She tweeted on Saturday afternoon that she will anchor FOX Soccer Report on Saturday.

CDN $50 "fine" for the farewell party in August each time Michelle goes on camera in a suit jacket if the "Kangaroo Court" were in session. :p

British people butcher names as well. Or did you think Martinez is supposed to be pronounced MAR-tin-ezz? People butcher names all over because names aren't based on proper linguistic pronunciation. You know who and what they are talking about. Get over it.

Michelle Lissel still has room to improve her wardrobe choice.

Look what I found on my DVR late Sunday night:

Found this on my DVR a little over an hour ago from an episode of Central FOX on Monday morning. Mexican anchor Pilar Pérez is a former beauty pageant contestant so she seems to have a knack for looking sharp.

Did you intend to record a Japanese sharking show and get this by mistake?

Oh of course British people butcher names. The Rosicky example I gave, I had Steve McManaman in mind.

And I'm not talking about sounds that don't cross over into other accents. No commentator in English would be expected to swallow the R's in French names, it's completely unnatural. No one is expected to pronounce "Schürrle" like a German. I'm talking about sounds they can easily pronounce but don't because no one has corrected them (or they're just lazy). Maccer pronouncing "Rosicky" wrong is a great example: of course he can pronounce his name properly, he just doesn't for some reason, even when his partner is doing so. It's ridiculous to do that.

Didn't think Michelle Lissel would take very long to catch up to the rest of the world, given how motivated everyone at 201 Portage is to find an escape route prior to August 31.

RED is the color of the week for female sportscasters.

Found this on my DVR on Monday night.

Solid bright color tops and glass tables are working right now for female anchors, not just in sports news, but news in general.

Check out this screen capture from Tuesday morning's Early Start on CNN U.S. The blonde in the white top wearing glasses is Canadian anchor Ashleigh Banfield.

(The blonde in black is CNN Business News anchor/reporter Felicia Taylor, who was at WNBC-TV 4 in New York several years ago and was the co-host of the St. Patrick's Day Parade with Tommy Smyth. She obviously didn't get the dress code memo.)

This thread is creepy because you keep on posting pics of Rebecca Lowe in various dresses and comment on the color. And then you post other pics of females announcers - some who are not even related to Soccer - that you obviously have a fetish for. And not only have you done this on this thread - you posted the same pics on other BigSoccer Forums Threads.

I am posting screen captures for the purpose of illustrating one of many reasons why Shaw Media in Winnipeg lost the U.S. copyright contract for FOX Soccer Report to Rogers Media.

FOX Soccer Report was woefully outdated in many ways, one of which was wardrobe choices of anchor Michelle Lissel, which were at least 18 months out of date prior to her vacation two weeks ago.

Female sports TV news anchors/presenters at major pay TV networks around the world don't wear suit jackets anymore. The list include ESPN U.S, ESPN Deportes/ESPN Latin America North, FOX Deportes/FOX Sports Latin America North Cone, Univision Deportes Network, Azteca America/TV Azteca, Sky Sports News UK, Sky Sport News Deutschland, Rogers Sportsnet in Canada, etc.

Even stodgy CNN (U.S. domestic and International) turned the girls loose 18 months ago, and not just sports news either, but general news as well.

The screen capture from Monday showed that Michelle Lissel has caught up to the rest of the world by wearing what is working right now. She did NOT wear a suit jacket for 3 straight days after she returned to work, and she finally appeared on camera in a solid bright color (red) top without sleeves.

Didn't one of the mods (Real Corona) ask you already to stop posting these photos/this topic in all the various threads and if you must continue this (to what point I don't know) start a unique thread to post this topic exclusively? This way if anyone wants to follow what you are doing they will know where to go.

    Yes, purely academic intentions here.

News for you: people don't lose business contracts because of what the frigging anchors wear.

Oh. My. God. You're hopeless. You're completely and utterly hopeless.
