Who: Seattle Sounders v. FC Dallas
    Where: Toyota Stadium, Frisco, TX
    When: Saturday, 4/12/14 5:30 pm
    Watch: JoeTV

On the road again against the current Western Conference leaders, Dallas, who are currently undefeated. Sounds like Evans and Rose are still questionable, although Traore is back from suspension.

Will be interesting to see how Sigi lines up for this one. After a terrible defensive performance, I wouldn't be surprised if Sigi changes things up against Dallas who have already racked up 13 goals in 5 games. Hopefully, he keeps Dempsey at forward and is done with this whole Demspey as a roaming attacking midfielder nonsense.

One thing is for sure, Seattle's defense needs to be a focus/priority this week in training.
Stoppage Time Soccer hit the nail on the head in this piece.

A key will be shutting down Diaz. Been quite the play maker thus far. Hopefully we go into the game and defend heavily and attack on the counter.

Projected lineup? Will Remick get the start over Gonzo?

Dallas v Seattle. Hmm. Both teams tanked hard at the end of last season. Really hard. The only team FCD could beat the last month and a half was, you guessed it, the Sounders. This is a new year however, and both teams are revamped, Dallas especially so. Plus they now have a coach who understands that substituting before the 85th minute is actually allowed. Both teams held serve on home court last year, and I think the same will be true this year. Sadly, I predict 2-1 to the Hoops.

Please take Neagle off...like now, before we end up down a man.

Embarrassing first half. I have no idea what the game plan is here today other than kick the shit out of Dallas players. Neagle should have already been sent off and Cooper is a god damn disaster on the right. Maybe the most unprofessional half I've seen the Sounders play.

Yeah, that was some damn ugly soccer. Hoping these guys figure this crap out, stop with the stupid and dangerous tackles, and find some rhythm.

Offensively this team might just be the best in the league and they are extremely fun to watch, but defensively...ugh. Shore that up and this team can go places this year.

    Nice call! :notworthy:

Getting Evans back will change that.

2 completely different halves. A little bit of composure goes a long way.

That's a good point and I agree. I'm looking forward to pushing these lackluster defensive outings from my memory.

We had the wind against us in the first half. It makes that much of a difference not having the wind against you.

That has nothing to do with the fact we played like a bunch of petulant children the first half.

The wind had an impact on the first half. The windu was a factor on the first dallas goal. Do not downplay on what the wind can do to a game.

Even so that still doesn't mean the wind doesn't impact the game in some form.

Marco Pappa scored a goal directly into the net from the corner kick against Seattle a few years back thanks to the wind.

I should have known better to go against the Sounders since the expert panel over on MLS unanimously picked Dallas to win.

That's whats makes soccer so great. Its so unpredictable. I mean who had Seattle vs portland going 4-4 draw.

2 losses at home and undefeated on the road. Good luck trying to analyze it.

Simple no silly turn overs in the midfield and we would had beaten TFC 1-nil and no foul in box by Djimmi and seattle would had won 1-nil vs columbus

I remember the days when Sounders fans would sacrifice entire forests of digital trees arguing whether Evans was a horrible player that shouldn't be playing soccer professionally, or that Evans was a solid MLS player and deserves his spot on the starting XI.. I guess that argument is over?
