The old good time favorite... Oh you can be, State 51 Oh you can be state 51. Yes you could be a part of the US Oh you can be state 51
This is great! How about a modern twist: "In 2010 we took a little trip, along with coach Bradley to the Gauteng district. We took little Landon and big Tim Howard and we met the bloody British in a town called Rustenberg."
I've heard it a few times - there was even a film a few years back with the same title - but it always seemed to be more of a cultural thing. I think it was Bill Bryson who said that if you went by the UK media coverage, you'd think the east coast of the USA was roughly where Ireland is, and continental Europe starts somewhere near Tunisia. songs about 1814 would be good, only because it would cause widespread confusion among the 99% of fans who'd have no idea what you were going on about. Even the war of independence fares little better. Most could probably write all they know about it on the back of a cigarette packet, and still leave room for the health warning. Countries gaining independence is a non-issue here. Britain once controlled a total of 234 separate colonies - that's a heck of a lot independence days to be bothered by. "Empire" is just regarded as some weird curiosity of the past from the days of handlebar moustaches, rickets, and people walking too fast in black & white newsreels.
I don't care what the English understand or care about. I wanna sing it for us! Its important for our boys and our citizens. From what I've heard the traveling English football fan isn't that clever anyways. Although, pretty funny empire comment there.
Two different ones It was a fix It was a fix What happened in 66 I've seen London I've seen France Whose hand has been in John Terry's underpants
To the tune of the beatles Yellow submarine We don't give a damn about the queen a damn about the queen a damn about the queen
To the tune of "England we do": O England F*** You, O England F*** You, O England F*** You, O England F*** You! I also like "You'd be krauts if not for us" and "10 British soldiers on the hill" and the various parodies of "God save the Queen", including "My country tis of thee" and "God shave the Queen" We can't forget to chant "1950! 1950!" and "Soooocer!"
I keep thinking this, simple and easy SEVENTEEN SEVENTY-SIX (CLAP-CLAP) SEVENTEEN SEVENTY -SIX (PAUSE) Repeat, Repeat, Repeat. Over and over and over.
I like the variant: Bridge's bird is going down, going down, going down, Bridge's bird is going down, on John Terry. I LOVE THIS. Of course, I prefer changing the "shot one dead" verse to "And the Continental Army 'em down", which shortens the whole song to four verses, so that the chant can change quicker. FCUK BRITANNIA You DO NOT rule the waves! Those days are long over now and the waves are the U-S-A's!! (Personally, the best pro-USA anti-England song there is.)
Basically SnakeEyes, the revised song would go like this: That way, the whole chant ends in 4 verses, instead of counting down the number of british soldiers being killed, so the chant doesn't go on forever. (Unless, of course, we are owning England, which makes a long chant hilarious!) WHEN the US starts winning (Especially by a good margin), another verse can be added: The Yanks buried them upon that hill, The Yanks buried them upon that hill, The Yanks Buried them, The Yanks Buried them, The Yanks buried them upon that hill.
Yeah, you could do that. But it's not as fun. Plus counting down gets more people joining in along the way since it's easy to pick up. Makes a great large group sing-a-long.
BTW... others not familiar with the pacing... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1M730cYkic"]YouTube- 10 German Bombers England fans Stuttgart WC 2006[/ame]
True this. Nevermind I said anything. I sure hope we can hear all of these badass chants over the Vuvuzelas.
not trying to copy off the other similar ones in the thread, i worked on these on the day the draw was announced.. trying to do something with yorktown and surrendering ---------------- there was one english red coat at yorktown, one english red coat at yorktown, one english red coat, one english red coat at yorktown and a red coat from england surrendered, and a red coat from england surrendered .... ---------------- 100 bottles of beer on the wall: there were 100 red coats inside yorktown, 100 english red coats.. one surrendered to washington.. 99 red coats inside yorktown
Trying singing things before you suggest them next time. To make sure the words fit and flow well with the original tune.
If you listen to the tune of the song isnt it better to just have: FCUK BRITANNIA You DO NOT rule the waves! The waves are ruled by the U-S-A
Well something like that. Either way, 'FCUK BRITTANIA' is a must to be sung at Rustenberg. You ONCE were a power, but now that time has passed, the yanks are marching in to beat your limey arse! FCUK BRITTANIA, You DO NOT rule the waves! Those days are long over now and the waves are the U-S-A's!
“Tim Timminy Tim Timminy Tim Tim Teroo / We've got Tim Howard and he says f**k you!” (To the tune of Chim Chimney from Mary Poppins)
I'm dying to sing this. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4-C-qHpb34"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4-C-qHpb34[/ame] THE YANKS ARE COMING THE YANKS ARE COMING IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, YOU'LL NEVER STOP THE USA THE YANKS ARE COMING THE YANKS ARE COMING IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, YOU'LL NEVER STOP THE UUUU SSSSS AAAA
