We're also close to the centennial of the sinking of the Titanic. And given the situation of the "team of the 20th century" I do hope history repeats itself...

    LPB lineup confirmed...

Casillas, Arbeloa, Pepe, Ramos, Coentrao, Khedira, Xabi Alonso, CRonaldo, Kaká, Di María, Benzema

Ozil on the bench. Coentrao selected ahead of Marcelo who doesn't even make the bench.
Oh, and Coentrao is on four bookings along with C.Ronaldo. I expect both to be suspended this weekend v Sporting Gijon.

Pretty sure the bananas were aimed towards Neuer. This goes back to when Oliver Kahn was Bayern's 'keeper as the joke was he looked and acted like a monkey. You'd often see bananas with "KAHN" written on them. Since Neuer is now in goal, and the fact that he used to play for Dortmund's bitterest rivals Schalke, the Dortmund fans are probably just continuing the tradition of throwing bananas at the man in Bayern's goal, whoever he may be. Nothing to do with any other players from either team. ;)

I guess those are for Neuer, because he's "the new Kahn".

oh, i see. in that case, that's bloody funny:)
thanks for the background story, i guess i jumped to the wrong conclusion.
that actually explains why neuer was smirking as they were cleaning up the bananas, i couldn't imagine why he would find that amusing...but this makes sense now.

edit: and just in time for me to feel good about cheering dortmund's goal too!!
    1-0

Huge goal in Dortmund 1-0 over Bayern. Thanks for the banana explanation too, it helps not spoil the excitement over their goal - to know it is not a racial thing in this case.

Dortmund must be going crazy! Wish I could watch. They are 10 minutes from essentially winning the Bundesliga again.

Wigan up 1 x 0 over ManU. They also had a goal called back in the first half which was complete BS.

Man City are up 1 x 0 at the moment. Comeback ?

No one folding back the leg, early on at Calderon.
Crissy twice on the ground in under 3 minutes.

Tevez scores. It's been a long way for him ...

    3 x 0

Game over. Now just see if ManU will pull off another 90th minute miracle.

I love when sometimes Ronaldo goes into his step over routine in the corner and crosses the ball but there is nobody in the box. He gets so much into his moves that he doesn't look up to see if anybody is there to get onto the cross. :p

How could he not even make contact with the ball ? Although he did look a hair off-sides.
