arslan is healthy enough probably to play so SHM will start on the right (or at least should...)

SHM starting the cup match against Karlsruhe as the withdrawn forward in a 4-2-3-1.

I think ok. Hard to tell with such a disorganized team. And half the match so far was in shaky cam

Okay, thanks. At least they're leading. Now let's hope that he ends up on the score sheet.

Some nice passes by SHM to release berg and Jansen. The inability for hamburg to connect more than two passes together is embarrassing. So many missed basic passes like passes back with no pressure.

SHM needed to do a better job in the wall there. He barely jumped and ball easily curled into the back of the net.

Nevermind the cup, if they keep playing like this in their league fixtures, they're going down.

They're going down barring lots of buys.

I'mmore upset about his decision to take on two defenders

HSV are going down. Fink has no clue what he's doing even after a full pre-season...

The team is so disorganized its horrifying. The talent levels are so poor on top... they need a new CH, a target man and baldej to pan out.

How can their defense continue to be this bad? After a full transfer and pre-season?

The back four is nearly identical to last season. The only difference is Lam (who was on the RW for HSV II) moving back to be with Diekmeier.

The hope was that westermann could play a more straight up DM and act like a fifth defender but he's not got the pace to hustle back, mancienne sucks in the air, and bruma is just terrible. COmbined with Aogo who comes from CDR school of positioning, and its a recipe for disaster.

Nor do they have the offensive talent or cohesion to hold possession.
