So basically you just need to be really strong to make it to the Olympics, etc.? What a stupid and pointless "sport" this is.

That Russian guy with the black hair (raised in Russia born in Ukraine) was on a really cool arm-wrestling doc I saw on netflix, btw. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

Its called rhythmic gymnastics. Russians are very proud of their rhythmic gymnasts and their rhythmic gymnastics judges too.

You do know there is actual steering involved. The first man is a pilot and his steering directly reflects the time that it takes the sleigh to finish the race. Fastest start doesn't mean that you will win. You need to steer well and ride perfectly without hitting the sides.

    Canada were missing:

    Stamkos, Tavares, Giroux, Seguin

Come back in 2018...oh wait..Canadas roster in 20189 IF NHL does go)=

    Bergeron-Crosby-Stamkos
    McDavid-Mckinnon-Duchene
    Couture-Toews-Benn
    Drouin-Giroux-Seguin
    Hall/Eberle/ROR/Johansen

    Keith - Weber
    Vlasic - Doughty
    Pietrangelo - Subban
    Murray, Ekblad

BTW, Mike Milbury, the biggest American homer of all time succinctly put it after the USA/Canada semi: "That was as dominating a 1-0 win as you'll ever see"...

1 reason and 1 reason only it was 1-0....Quick.

Curling is cool if you "get" the sport, cerebral chess like tactics and some physical acumen..plus those Russian curlers...my God.

Canada in Sochi was like the US in basketball. Sure the games were close but you kind of always knew who was going to win. Never saw that in 2002 or 2010.

Yea kind of expected considering Sweden was missing three centers. And the 2-1 over Latvia, oh what a result...what a tournament.

I raise you Stamkos, Tavares, Giroux

Plus that Latvian game was just hilarious. Complete domination, unreal amount of scoring chances and zone time (would be like barca having 80% possession vs somebody) but somehow...somehow the game was close.

I'm not going to argue against three golds, it is what it is.

Russia's tournament would have been very different if not for a technicality that cost the team that USA game. Russia goes to the Gold Medal game if that Tyurtin goal counts, in my very unbiased opinion.

They'd just have lost to Finland in the semis.

Nah, we'd have been fresher unlike the QF and they wouldn't get the lucky breaks again + Bobrovsky in net.

Are we the Olympic champs? I think we're the Olympic champs.
