    Hi guys,
i just saw a Turkish German movie, Gegen Die Wand (2004).
i didn't really understand the movie, i think it tries to portray the hardship Turkish immigrants and their children face in Germany.
anyways, have you guys seen the movie? what is the food the protagonist girl cooks for her husband? and what's the chalky drink she serves with the food?also, what's the theme of the movie?
    thanks.
BTW, good luck to Turkey during the WC 2014 qualifying campaign. as a Korean American, I really want the Turks to shock the world like they did in 2002 and 2008.

Thanks for your good luck wishes; but it seems like we are almost out of WC2014, our chances are very slim now after our NT having performed incredibly badly so far in the quals.
I watched Gegen die wand long time ago, probably more than 5 years ago, and don't really recall the details. What I remember is it was a weird movie and was full of drama and I thought it exagerated the issues of the Turks in Germany (I do not live in Germany, I live in the US, but I have been to Germany once for a week, so I do not know very well either).

    salesman repped this.

yeah, i thought it was really weird too, there are multiple random scenes of a woman singing traditional Turkish songs (i'm just assuming) throughout the movie,, i just thought it was weird..
about the food, i'll try my best to describe it, i can't find any clips on youtube..
it's whole bell pepper stuffed with onions, rice, either cilantro or parsely, tomato paste (not sure) and some sort of wine or vinegar, and i think it's put in the oven..
that's the best i can describe it as, i'm rewatching the scene.
i dunno, it looked pretty good so i was just wondering if anyone could help me out with it..
    thanks.
