At Porto's league winning pace, we will pass Benfica's titles :)

At least I can remember Sporting being in a UEFA final, it was 5 years ago...

doubt you remember 1990 unless you are at least 27 years old.

yeah I wonder what they will say then?

they just support the team with the most titles, I bet half of them would change to FC Porto if this were the case.

Sporting used to have more then Benfica and more then Porto, now we are behind but football is in cycles but the love for Sporting is not related to the amount of titles we have. we are true fans.

lol that was more than 50 years ago. but all sportinguistas still remember that time when they had more titles, and how it felt. lol even if they are younger than 50 like you.

benfiquistas are born benfiquistas, without knowing anything about the club we didn't pick the team because they had most titles, im an exemple of that.

like you said football is in cycles. and porto's cycle ended this season.
and next year will be the confirmation of that.

As long as LFV is at Benfica, Porto's cycle will never end. Might not win the league every season but except 4 or 5 more in a row starting next season

FYI-Benfica never actually won that trophy, the trophy looked different back in the 60s... (and wasn't even called Champions League btw)

I know it wasn't the same, couldn't find a picture of the old cup, and I know it wasn't called the Champions League, I'm not sure why you said that....

LOL the hater is the one who takes one sentence of mine and writes paragraphs and follows me into the Braga thread to drone on and one with his propaganda.

Blaming the economy for Benfica's downfall? Yup good thing the economy in Portugal turned around so drastically for 2 years in 2003 and 2004, lucky Economic Porto eh?

    Epic ownage.

But at least he got to witness his team reach all this greatness he talks about. Oh wait no he didn't his father did and shortly after became a SLB fan. How convenient because they were always going to be SLB fans it just happened that the team winning back to back CL's happened at the same time

Gotta love Glory Hunters and how their reasons for being a fan are as paper thin as their excuses for failure.

I am now the worlds biggest Real Madrid fan, we won it 9 times baby! Woooo! The glory and prestige of my club runs in my veins! Woooo! Benfica? hahaha who are they compared to my club? We've won way more trophies and did it in color TV not just black and white! Feels so good to throw history around I feel so proud! We got kicked out of the CL because everyone knows Lyon is paying the refs because they are so rich.

    ......Lame ass clowns.

You haven't seen them do anything great in your lifetime. That's a fact.

Living off history is just... sad.

And 95% of teams do not have socios so your paying members line is irrelevant. If the premier league allowed socios then Benfica would drop to 10th in a month and 20th in about 1 year.
