If you are England biggest hope you could do whatever, dont have to remain fit, cant throw a fit , can ask for a transfer and kill the team with your play but still be pampered.
An extract from Ferguson’s book read: ”Vidic was a dour, uncompromising sod. He was a proud Serb. In 2009, he came to see me to say he might be getting called up. “What do you mean, called up?’ I said, alarmed. ‘Kosovo. I am going,’ he said. ‘It’s my duty.’”
Yeah, just put some quotes on the other thread. As soon as it started, I Wright and Dixon were giggling away at him.
Thought Ian Wright was gonna get it right on the chin there. They almost had no choice but to say something in agreement.
Btw, in his book SAF also called Kenyon out of his depth basically and Gill a big improvement. And called Lampard "Very very good servant to chelsea but not a elite international footballer".
The best Ferguson interview was with John Snow on yesterday's Ch 4 News. Snow asked if his totalitarian controlling approach was Stalinist, and asked about his banning of journalists and the BBC for seven years. saying he was thin-skinned.
funny, i can't disagree with you, but man, i miss Keane! hey, can you imagine Keane under Moyes?? It woould be like the kid who told the substiitute teacher to go stand in a corner and don't come out until the bell rings!
Keane never let his standards drop. The same cannot be said for the rest of the club. Keane was sacked because Ferguson could not accept the truth.
Keanu stood up to Fergie, but he was old and on a bum hip, so he got shipped out. Rooney stood up to Fergie, but he was young and a global face, so he got played until he hit form and then dipped. Fergie's quotes on Rooney tell more about the gaffer's failings than the players. If Rooney had all these problems, why was it until the last season that he sat him? Why was he continually allowed to "play into form" while other players were not? I cannot shit Rooney for that.

i wonder what the outcome might have been if SAF had seen things Keane's way. I understnand why Keane had to go, but if SAF had agreed, he could have turned that around and used keane to drive the team on. Not second guessing here though. i understand the decision and rate SAF highly becasue of it.
Well his persona, act was the wrong word. A lot of the time, he wants to bark at someone, just because. When you act like him, you have to be perfect, and he was far from it. No one had the guts to stand up to him.
He didn't think he was perfect but he demanded perfection from himself and everyone else, hence his attitude. You were still right about what you said though. A lot of us were frustrated with Berbatov for the same thing.
