I hope that these jokers and MLS wannabes can make it a worthwhile game for us for the sake of old southern derby memories. If not, we will tear them a new one.

Meanwhile the legend of the Maltese Falcon grows....

I also hope there's a good turnout for the Champions League Final watch party at the Brickhouse. Visca Barca!

    Game day, people.

What's the over-under on our margin of victory?

Well, that was an utter nailbiter of a game. 80 minutes in against the team on the bottom of the table and we still hadn't scored.

Congrats to Etienne on continuing to be the best striker in the NASL; those two assists were flawless.

That was a scare, but hopefully it'll motivate the team into working hard for this upcoming road trip.

Here are the highlights from the game. Looking at the called back handball, it doesn't look like the right call at all.

It was a handball. I'm too lazy to post the photo, but he took the ball off of his upper arm down to his foot.

Not a deliberate handball, but I can't think of a ref anywhere that would let that goal stand.

What's lost in the play is that Barbara's pass is possibly the highest quality play I've ever seen at the D2 level in the United States.

******** it. Since we're now in a post-birther world where nobody ever takes anyone at their word and absolutely reserves the right to judge the evidence for themselves, here's the ball compressed against Pablo's arm.

    Handball, no goal.

I hate facts sometimes:). Guess the choppy video wasn't all that great to see it. Thank you for the pic.

That, and the cross for the final goal. He could have shot it in, and Quintero had a decent chance of getting in the way if he had; instead, even as hungry to score again as we know he was, he made a tricky pass he knew he was good enough to pull off and thus almost guaranteed it would go in.

It is always a bad sign when the score is 0-0 and your GK is the MOTM :) . Dont know what Rennie said at HT but it worked. I think it was along the lines of "get your heads out of your arses lads and get it together". I may be totally wrong here but it worked well in the second half. We could have scored two more. well job done! Someone start the away thread as I do not do it out of superstition.
