Can anyone tell me about him?
Silas really emerged last season as one of the better players in the Portuguese SuperLiga. He is an athletic midfielder who usually plays in the center of the pitch, but he can also operate on the right and left sides. He can create for his teammates and score himself.
He made his debut with the national team during 2002 – 2003 after standing out for Union Leira, a smaller club in Portugal that had an excellent season last year thanks in part to Silas. FC Porto was very interested in acquiring him in the event that Deco was sold in the offseason. Porto coach Jose Mourinho coached at Leira before taking over Porto and was very fond of the player.
Being a Sporting fan, I was hoping that he would come to the club, but it could be a very nice move for both the player and Wolves. I look forward to watching him play this season.
Thanks, We are very excited
no worries, he will definatly help you guys out!!
good luck in the season!!
for 1 million euros, it could go up to 1.5 million euros all depending on the amount of games.
U. Leiria could use the money that's about what they spend for one season
the city of Leiria build a new stadium but to save cost Leiria will still be playing at Marinha Grande
any news on Silas from England?
i heard he was the best player of thr game when wolves beat boavista 2-0...
that's good news, for him and the Wolves
I read the same thing. He set up one of the goals in the Boavista game, and was generally a menace all match. I have been reading the Wolves boards on the BBC website, and many of its posters are very excited about Silas' play this presason. Some of suggesting that he could be one of the big surprises this year in the EPL. It would be great for him if he could have a break out year and help the Wolves avoid relegation to the First Division.
