Everyone (sans Oscar) back in training. Wonder if we will see Mata Sunday?

I hope to see an appearance at least. He's at least match fit.

Wow...even Sturridge? Thought they would at least give the Olympians an extra week off...I don't think Mata has had much of a summer holiday!

The Olympics final is Saturday, so that gives him 8 days until our Prem opener. Not sure he'll be involved straight away though.

EDIT: Anyone heard anything futher on the Terry/FA situation? I haven't heard a peep about it since the original news broke.

How many players we have who are called up so far, including new boys? Even Ramires is called up. Now if Roy includes both Cole & Bertrand in his squad, along with Cahill Lampard:eek:

JT has his UEFA suspension reduced to one game. He will miss the Super Cup and no further CL games.

I suspect that will drag for a while. I would assume a response will be received in approximately 2 months.

a couple of interesting quotes from Hazard

"I've already found what I came for in England - beautiful stadium, beautiful pitch and big atmosphere.
"I tried to do what I am used to do. Down to 10, I had to defend a lot and it was more complex.
"Beyond the result, I am happy with that first test. I felt at ease. We still have to sort out some details in attack but it will come. I am confident. I have adapted quickly.
"Playing playmaker or not? I have just arrived and the only important thing to me is to play - in any position. I would be even keen to play at left-back.
"There are a lot of talented players in that team. There is competition - it is the highest level."

the last two really stick out to me and I hope he can continue with that type of attitude

Thanks for sharing fern. Good stuff. I've really been impressed with the lad to this point. He's had a great attitude, and his play to this point has been good.

Hazard has been known to not muck about on the pitch, always calm and does not let emotions get the better of him ,even if he is the most fouled player in Europe. Cant wait to see more.
