i thought the problem was the lack of viable and safe exits due to fulham being the only road accessible
When i initially heard that the borough wanted to help, i was just leaving the subway (tube) which connects to a large underground mall underneath an office building, and i thought maybe it had to do with the exits, like put an underground passage from Fulham Broadway to an exit in the north end for example. I'm not sure how its like in London but here in Toronto there are many office buildings, stadiums, con centers that have underground passages connected to tube stations. What is the likely hood of that happening.

That approach would also mean a hell of a lot of digging, I'd imagine. Expensive, risky, and time consuming. Speaking of expensive, risky, and time consuming - we could always go with the sunken pitch approach to add a few thousand round the bottom.

I still say knock down the bloody hotel and expand the Shed End. Someone at the pub today also made an observation about building over the tracks and developing the MH stand, though this wouldn't add as many as the Shed work. Still think high 40's would be enough..... If we want to add revenue, let's say 10,000 seats are added. That would be around half a million a game for, say, 28 games a year assuming cup runs. An extra 14m plus all that concession money - 20m in all? How much would selling the rights earn us? Would it be a similar scale for not one iota of building? Not advocating this but wonder how many other areas of revenue are being explored that wouldn't be as dramatic. Do CPO own stadium naming rights at all? Given the choice what would people prefer, new stadium or renamed bridge?
Maybe Roman can pull a sheikh mansour and make some company pay us 400 mil for naming rights so we can have an advantage when FFS comes into effect. That is if he still wants CFC to be self-reliant in the short term.
The Man City deal is still being investigated, you cant just sell something for 400m , theres a rule in the FFP where you cant do that you have to sell it for its actual price, if we went and sold naming rights for 500m that wouldn't work as the naming rights aren't worth that much, the man citeh ones are still being looked at as its a dodgy sponsorship, especially as their new training ground is being paid for by etihad too
if we could add capacity to the bridge and make it somewhere in the high 40,000s or low 50,000s, that would be a much better proposition than moving imo... the bridge is our home for 100+ years and it should stay that way, i'd be in favour of either expanding the shed end or destroying the hotel to achieve that... would not like to sell the stadium naming rights, Samsung bridge? no thanks!

we can not extend The Shed or knock down The Hotel at the moment and sad to say but naming rights are most likely going to happen no matter where the club is located
The problem is that Man U can fit in around 40,000 more spectators to a home game that probably works out at around GBP1.5m per game. If we want to compete with them (especially with the financial fair play rules) we need more capacity.
