yup. this blows right now. i've been very hesitant to throw the towel in on laws, but i don't know if i can hold back anymore. his substitutions make it seem like he has no idea what he's doing anymore. really, we're in the bottom three now. if we get relegated, it could spell administration.
I've been very quiet about this whole thing in the hope that is all goes away (my ostrichism knows no bounds) but, really, this is getting beyond a joke. Our defense is awful, our strikers can't score, and Laws doesn't seem to have the first idea what to do with the team. We need to ship out the dead wood - Frannie Jeffers, Leon Clarke, Sodje - and get some new blood up front, PRONTO, someone who can actually complement Tudgay and Jermain Johnson. We need to shove a bomb up Esajas's ass, because we know he can play, but doesn't seem to want to. I say give Laws the chance to fix this in Jan and, if things haven't turned around by the end of Feb, get rid of him. Of course, by then, it may be a lost cause... Depressing.
what good would that do when laws pulls jj out at the 30 min mark? yeah, to a normal human being, that makes perfect sense, though.
Very good article on ESPN. Author is 100% correct. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=712486&sec=england&root=england&cc=5901
had to happen, didn't it? after the 'efforts' at hillsborough v west brom and reading, there didn't appear any way back. it's one thing when laws is making incomprehensible decisions, but when the players aren't buying in, it's time for a change. if the effort was there at doncaster, than leicester city showed it was little more than a last gasp. i've always liked laws, but the purse purchase - what it meant for wood and the whole defense - was disastrous. and wednesday are not these days working within margins for those kinds of error. i think laws did fairly well during his tenure, all things considered. best of luck to him going forward. and to wednesday, as well, who will probably need it more.
