Does anyone here follow Sheffield Wednesday? My brother is a fan, and I would like to find a way to keep up on them so we can have a better conversation then just him bashing Arsenal.

Sinner Ronald Monk is the only Wednesday fan that I know of on these boards.

I remember they had a top class goalkeeper with Kevin Pressman. What ever happened to him? If he would be active right now, he'd outplay James and Sullivan in a second.

I am no fan, but have respect for them. Nice club name as well. And great fans.

Pressie retired a couple of years ago. He wasn't quite as quick as he'd been earlier in his career.

Still was sorry to see him go.

Pressie is probably eating somewhere right about now. Yup, I was correct, he's at Mansfield Town.

I'll do a little cheering for Sheffield Wednesday. I understand Frankie Simek is doing quite well for the team. I got a kick outta how Chris Marsden is playing for the team after his stint in Korea.

I'll take a win today, even if it did sound a little nervous.

We really need to get some production from the strikers, though. Off the bottom anyway!

YEAH, but be prepared to get your @sses handed to you this weekend... Taking on Plymouth Argyle, with all the drama of a relegation battle...

the ONLY thing good about sheffield wednesday, is Paul Sturrock!!!!

quinn was released for free by chris turner along with bromby and geary.
proof that chris turner is the most inept horrific bad manager we ever had bar danny wilson.

I was happy to see that Simek ended up at Sheffield Wednesday. I have been trying to follow them and Simek anyways...and well, this just makes it easier.

Another Wednesday fan here, recently relocated to Southern California from sunny Sheffield! I'm finding it rather disheartening to see how we're struggling this year... we could churn out the "injury problems" excuse, and I'm sure if McLean and Drew Talbot were fit we'd be banging more goals in, but the bottom line is that we simply don't look good enough at the moment. I remember the days - only a decade or so ago - when Hillsborough was a fortress, the third best team in the country, two-thirds of our squad were full internationals, we were guaranteed to reach at least one cup final each year, and were were thrashing teams from Luxembourg in the UEFA Cup.

I respect Paul Sturrock, and I think we have lots of players with potential in the likes of Simek, Partridge, Eagles, Talbot and so on, but until we can perform like a TEAM, and string a few victories together, I fear we might be heading straight back down again...

We need a striker! 17 goals in 26 league games is no way to stay up.

Unless Allen gets Sturrock the money to get some players in, we've no hope of avoiding relegation.
