depended on where you live i guess. crap! we had real betis v granada on live. wednesday replay on @2:00 a.m. feh!
sounds as though the effort's not even there anymore. it's gone from being wasteful in front of goal to creating nothing ... it seems as though this team is getting further and further from competitive. others won't agree, but i'm not sure i'll lament mr jones' departure at this point.
hmmm ... it appears that the wheels have come well and truly off. can't see milan not pulling the trigger soon.
I'm done with Jones. One more loss, and he needs to go. I couldn't help but notice how well Jon Ostemobor played for MK Dons in the Cup this weekend, and how I wish we had him back in the back four. Intolerable.
i don't see much hope for him. @OA they are saying we played great in Cardiff and deserved at least a draw...i understand that but we should have scored one goal to get that draw... and we didn't. meh.
well, i certainly understand their concern for where the club goes if/when jones is sacked. it doesn't really appear well-positioned for someone else to come in and kick on like DJ did with megson's team. a change now looks likely to bring on further instability and step backwards. what's more, you could see (if you wanted to ) the team progressing, even if the results weren't coming along. or at least you could ... up until about 3 games ago. after leicester at home, where by all accounts wednesday were awful, it looked as though jones may have lost the players. when they then rolled over to watford (again at hillsborough), then, i pretty much figured it's game over for DJ. he's lost 'em, and he won't get 'em back. that presumption, however, may have been, in light of the last game, a bit premature. away to a very good cardiff, they worked hard, stayed composed in the face of constant and considerable pressure, and by most accounts deserved something from the game. maybe, just maybe, if they can keep working hard, and if the results can start catching up to the performances, jones could weather this and the team won't have to take yet another backward step by bringing in yet another manager. you can tell that mandarich knows sacking jones will be a setback ... he's shown uncharacteristic patience thus far. but it's right on the edge, isn't it? there can't be too many more losses before wednesday are pitched into what must be a proper relegation scrap - regardless of form. the next two games will be telling. ... but then, that's not the first time that's been said this season, is it?
well, that's two on the trot, and while the barnsley game impressed no one, wednesday were by all accounts well worth their 3 points. i have to say, though, if dave jones is able to stabilize this team, steer them to safety, and put wednesday into a decent position going into '13-'14, i'm going to really tip my hat to milan mandaric. i thought sacking megson would be a disastrous decision, and after watford, i felt that the longer jones stayed on, the bigger the hole for his successor to climb out of. i may have been (and hope to have been) dead wrong on both counts.
it's a rollercoaster, innit? i'm rather encouraged right now ... but i was similarly after ipswich and peterborough, too - and we all know what came next. what's indisputable, though, is that - unlike earlier on - it seems to be tightening up at the back. optimism's never done me any favors in football ... but it's creeping in.
