I think it is one of 4 possible sets of 3/4 players. After the more defensive picks in the last round, I am caught in two minds whether to block (/hope to get lucky) one of the 3 mutually exclusive outstanding pairs, or go for the defensive routine myself
Okay picks sent. I know how mine is going to go. I think I'll get the player I really want, but will be forced to pick just a good player when the other fails. I'm willing to make a small sacrifice this early in the game.
Awesome! I hope it stays that way. I don't mind so much if both my picks get blocked, but if just one gets blocked I'm screwed. I really put myself on the line to get the player I wanted. The guy I really miss is Billy Ireland. He had the worst luck last time we played. Even his most thoughtful, clever picks would somehow get blocked.

Well, if we know who your banned player is, we should be able to make a good educated guess about who the other one is, as long as your banned player played only one world cup and he didn't have a popular number. Not so much if he played two or more cups, or if he had one of those popular numbers that are often reserved for the great ones.
True. Although on this occasion I'm wondering if I'd prefer that you could all guess who it is....and therefore not pick my next pick (although it could be somebody already has anyway)

I really, really didn't want to pick Labruna. He is the biggest symbol of River Plate, the biggest antagonist of Boca Juniors. But it was a difficult round, he was a great player, and he does fit with my plans for my team. So, I sold my soul for this game.

Well I suppose the banned player is one of your picks or at least someone who wore the same number at the same World Cup, but not so sure you know which player at present...we'll see (Basically the 3 people with 2 fails could've all picked the exact same players, but there could be a 3rd player involved in theory).

I've got everyone's picks bar Peru FC & Cevno. Deadline in 90 minutes - if they haven't picked, I'll allow them both a supplemental pick after the third picks (as in previous years). I'm not sure on Peru's availability and I can't find the sign up thread for this (assume it hasn't migrated yet) so can anyone remember what he said his availability was?
