Just seen the results. Not all that delighted with my team at the moment but the other 6 options I was deliberating on were all taken in 2nd and 3rd picks!

For my sheep pick born pre-1930 by the way...I was holding out for a full back option but having read up on Victor Valussi I reckon he sounds like a nice match for Chumpitaz. A partnership mix of class and brawn but both reliable pros. I didn't want a sheep in such a position especially with no CMs in my team yet, but I like the pairing so that's my pick.

Anyone have any idea how tall he was? From pictures he looks pretty massive and I know Hector was pretty small but still good in the air.

Thanks for the tip asf

I sent my Round 6. As usual, an update will be appreciated if Ianman is sending one out.

    Sent.

Didn't have much time to research, but i reckon this should go through. This round is interesting and tough at this stage with all the positional requirements.

Will be proper screwed if one pick goes through and the other does not. Would be better if both go through or both don't.

I'm not sure about his height, but he looks like one of the taller players in the team. Here's a picture of the 1943 team, he's the fifth in the back. (the third player, on the right of the goalie).

He was known for being very physical and a tough tackler. By all accounts, Valussi provided the muscle and Domingo was the skillful one.

Same except not too confident it will go through. Surprising lack of good options from Copa Libertadores.

I have a funny feeling there will be more sheep than we think. There are two amazing pairs, one really good one and then it starts to get a bit more questionable :)

Or just bad matches for good Copa years. My first thought was to look at the 86 River side only to remember that Barcelona lost to Steua that year. Ugh.

@asf, kind of related since I was looking up his page because of the draft but the link on wiki which used to previously link to your write up on BS is broken.

It's a curious case, I get the impression that are more and better players from runners-up and semifinalists than from the champions in Copa Libertadores. I think this round will give advantage to the South American knowledge.

Well, that was a bit of a bloodbath, but inevitable. The Copa winners just has too few World renowned options.

, if only your Peruvian watch had delayed you a bit longer lol.
But also sorry, because it could be said I was being greedy/unusual with my selections given who I've already got and those players would've made your attack great:oops:
