If a coach never plays soccer, can we nominate him for sleepers?

    Heh?

I think it needs to be a coach with a former professional career.

Unless you're careful, there may not be much option. You certainly don't want to end up with Mourinho.

Does anyone feel like the time for that pick was a bit too long? Would there be any objections to shortening it so anything opened on a Friday (Pick 1, 2 or 3) has a deadline on the Monday, or do people prefer it as it was for this pick?

Campos it is - it doesn't really matter.

Incidentally, I cannot believe two players whom I thought would never survive that round unchallenged......survived that round. Unbelievable.

I think that is best. A weekend should count as two days. Monday evenings GMT should be the deadline.

    Is this really still shocking?

If everything went according to logic, this draft would be no fun.

Yeah - last year Beckenbauer and another slipped through in the third round while a couple of other players not quite of that standard got banned. I imagine there's a fair bit of second guessing going on.

Hmmmm...I'll be surprised if I manage to avoid a sheep this round.

Unlike with Laudrup though, I lost out this time too - you had Eusebio last year (I did consider you might try for him again though, but I thought he was a prize worth the gamble even if 4 or 5 picked him). I'm hoping to avoid annoying you with this pick (it wouldn't help my team to do so) - hence I'm considering my initial ideas again though I might still stick with the player I had in mind and cross fingers, but it'll be in soon.

If I continue like this, I'll end up with with far more than one sheep. The only good thing is that I'm not going to be the only one.

And I'm not going to think on the third round, which will generate a pretty great number of sheeps and banned players. Somehow I have the feeling that most of us will go for the same coaches and players (there are some really great players out there), but of course, someone will slip trough.

Then, you might fail to get the coach but stick with the player..... and that player only played for sleeper coaches. So you must come up with an exit strategy before the picks.
