The USA have been pressing down the right hand side for most of the match. However, those final touches in the box have not been there so far.

    So stupid this...

Every time there's a kickoff to start the first or second half, a team kicks it all the way down to where the goalie from the other side is sure to get it; why not try to just work your way down instead of doing a longball every time?

For everyone talking about Germany's run of play, ironic that the goal came off a set piece, which was no slouch to begin with.

hmm, so somebody may have allready said this, but:

USA dominating the run of play and chances on goal.

Germany with one goal, few chances for more.

Great play by German goal keeper...

Sound like the mens world cup last year?

Of course, this wont last i don't think, but look for germany to play with everybody behind the ball from now on...

    Wagner on for Parlow.

Again, the USA continue to go down the right-hand side.

WHy is Bivens still in the back? She has lost so many balls. & Pearce is a better attacking defender.

Now Aly Wagner is coming in? For Parlow????? Oh dear. Hope she looks better than she has for the rest of the tournament.

Parlow has been our best offensive player, so she's out. I'm not understanding.

Judging by thesub of Wags for CP, I assume they're playing the 4-4-2, or that they just switched to it?

Nice saves by Scurry, but why the hell aren't we doing anything except going to the right side and crossing?

With Wagner coming on for Parlow, I have to ask, did Parlow play well? True, the attacks came from her, but nothing came of them I think because she's too slow.

    Incredible series by Scurry.

Scurry with 2 amazing saves, I don't know why Parlow is out, bad move IMO.

Player down for Germany, can't see who it is.

Spectacular double save by Scurry! However, Prinz is down with a shoulder injury. Replay suggests she landed hard on it.

That would have been a disaster if Scurry did not come up big.

Dispicable classlessness on the part of our girls when the German player who was hacked down by Foudy (of course not called) was injured. It's this type of classlessness I never want any US team to display. (Unless against Mexico of course! ;) )

Bivens has to come out, she is getting burned time and time again. She got saved by an offsides call there, but she's not doing much. She has to be the next sub taken out I would think.

Rottenberg is having a hell of a match.

I've heard of home team bias, but this is ridiculous.
