rodriguez is injured thats the reason why hes not lining up

after his performance against brazil i would have kept acasiete on the bench if rodriguez had no injuries

i'm a bit worried about farfan. appearantly he had a daughter with a girl yesterday and it seems he is not very happy to have suddenly become a father and having to pay child support and assume responsibilty. hopefully this will not disturb his performance.

how many players do we have who have been involved in cases like this? it seems like half the team is paying child support for kids they have hardly seen with mothers they have only known for a night or two. can't they use condoms for christ's sake?

farfan should be put on the Laura show so that girl's mom can knock some sense into him ;)

anyways, i just looked over some stats and peru has only won once in their past 6 WCQ with home tie to venezuela, home loss to argentina, away tie at paraguay, away losses at bolivia and brasil and only a 2-1 win versus chile at home....i think it's time to be realistic and just throw in the towel....even if we beat ecuador we have away games at venezuela, argentina and colombia and i highly doubt that we'll be able to steal a point in any of those games

yeah it seems like an ongoing thing a couple of years ago it was martin garcia of cienciano and then juan flores when he was with estudiantes de medicina

i read it in elbocon so maybe thats not the whole version of the story

hopefully this wont affect farfan since he will have to be at his best at a position hes not used to

yet we are still within 4th and 5th place

i dont think thorwing in the towel is the answer
    1 win 3 losses 2 draws
2 of those losses to the powerhouses of south american fotball

i think we are capable of getting something out of venezuela and colombia(we have beat them the last 2 times we went to colombia)

    Way to be optimistic.

Venezuela just got stomped 3-1 by the worst team in the qualifiers.

We've beaten Colombia away the last two WCQs.

I think it's realistic to say we can get 4 points from those two matches. It's not over just yet. If we don't beat Ecuador... THEN it's over.

I agree with IncaEnclave. As much as I would love to see Peru qualify, its not gonna happen. Let stop being delusional and start being realistic. Peru has A LOT of work to do for next time's qualifying.

It's not over yet guys and there's no way in hell i'm going to throw in the towel... i say FVCK THAT!
But, if we lose or even tie against ecuador, then ok, my towel will be the first on the ground.

i am realistic i knew when this process started that we wouldnt finish 1st 2nd or third

    i was aiming at 4th or 5th

even if we lose(i hope it dosnt happen) we wont be out of the running for those 2 spots the other teams have proven as inconsistant as we have

This is a cornered against the wall situation. Now we'll see if Peru are fighters or wimps, bottom line. What would you do in their situation, I bet fight.

Well I don't think any of us were aiming for a 1st 2nd or 3rd place... our goal was 4th at best. We're still in the beginning of a process that will take some time to accomplish.
But if we can't beat ecuador again at home then we don't belong anywhere near Germany in 2006... hell we don't even deserve to play futbol for that matter!

yea i mean i was expecting some improvement fromt the last qualifiers, specially from pizza. i thought this time he would at least get 4 since he starts every game but it hasnt happened. to be fair hes got a few games to prove me wrong but anyway i hope tomorrow Guerrero takes him to school on how to score goals for your NT.

ps i dont care how much "hard work" pizza puts in, the point is he is a striker, captain and peru's best player in europe... one goal for the entire campaign is not acceptable. even mendoza has 2 goals and he hasnt played in ages.

Libero says that both teams encountered each other at the Estado Nacional while one was leaving training and the other was arriving for it. That's the reason of these pictures. Apparently, Nobby and Useless made a bet for the game.
