    You can hire Mourinho but if the country does not produce players of real quality then it'll just lead to el bigoton getting fired. We have a decent team but it takes more than decent to make the world cup

    Honestly i doubt bigoton will get us into into the wc also, but at least i think it is a step in the right direction.

    I think baldi should get the job he's just a great motivator and will get out all the potential our players have.

    I like Baldi and probably would be a good coach, but you have to have tactics to deal with the dumbasses from FBF and Liga Boliviana, thats the one thing he doesnt have. El BIgoton can deal with that better I think. I dont think he will take us to the WC this year, but I'm hoping (wishfull thinking at that) that in time he will supplant Chavez and then Bolivian Futbol can move in the right direction and forward, not backwards.

    What does it say about Baldi when he declines to be the assistant of a coach who has coached a national team before,especially one that he was a part of? Not very smart of Baldi who has NO experience at the international level

    El bigoton was announced as the coach today at 6:30 PM. He will be assisted by Etcheverry, Sandy and Soria.

    i think all it says is that he wants to keep his chances at DT intact, which would be in jeopardy if he were part of a failing Bolivian team....

    Anyone follow him on Twitter?

    He is in too deep with his santa cruz players.... expect to see similar of past 'santa cruz' based coaches....

    With that said, I wonder what he will do different psychologically than Quinteros....

    Good point Dreyx. although it wouldn't necessarily be in jeopardy. It could have also been an opportunity to gain some insight. I think maybe Baldi sometimes says too much and should play his cards better. his response to Azkargorta's offer was pretty ballsy.

    No, Bigoton.

    He has a twitter, and there was a pic up there with him drinking some beers with Pena, Etcheverry, and I think it was platini.

    Shows that he is in 'too deep' with his Crucenos. I'd imagine his player selection would be similar to their 'boys'.

    I agree with you and it may not be the right choice but last time he did so, we went to the World Cup for the first time in a long time excluding those invites.

    Baldivieso is looking like a little baby with all of this. He should just wait his turn for 2018 WCQ and start fresh. It's more than likely that we are not qualifying... I was all for Quinteros, and would pick Baldivieso over Villegas or anyone else they want to throw in there.. but I wonder if he would call up his son to play? :p

    ^^^^^That was the difference in el Bigoton's plan and Baldi's plan. Bigton said that we still can qualify for Brazil while Baldi who was more realistic said we should prepare ourselves for 2018, and the FBF went with AZ.

    Our wonderful federation has canceled the game against Benin and now are setting something up with Guyana. I love how they keep finding great teams to play against to make our team better.

    Credible sources confirm that the fee our FBF has agreed to pay Guyana are as follows:
    * two pigs
    * one sack of rice
    * six bottles of rum (no specific brand)

    They have also confirmed a match against the Easter Island national team, because we need more challenging sparring teams.

    And let the new era beguin!!! All we need now is to pull a tie against this guys. Who by the way are not all profesional futbol players, some just do it part time, and have other jobs.

    wtf does that even mean, lol

    you mean he´s in too deep with the best players of the past 30 yrs and the guys who he had his biggest success with. you´re sounding wackier and wackier everyday, you would see the same thing from any ¨la paz¨ based coaches and players, except there arent any good ones. boom

    btw i´m here in the motherland and first thing i saw when i got out of the plane was that were playing guyana lmao, and i still can´t get used to these damn keyboards, took me forever to find arroba on the keyboard.

    food is heaven though, u mad

    Don't take it personal lol.

    We've got in this discussion before, it's best for a coach to scour all of the country for players that can help, not just keep up with those they have personal relationships with, which happens with ANY coach, especialyl if they were promoted from within.
