Well from what I see in the friendly vs Germany. The new coach Genes looks to be more attack minded with 3 at the back and attack minded midfielders such as Pittoni and Fabbro deep up front and that showed considering we scored 3 and all from open play. Martino's and especially Pelusso's teams would usually only score from set pieces and play very defensive football. As for Riveros, he's definitely always been a starter but he didn't start against Germany so I'm not sure if he's gonna be a starter under the new coach, plus he's already 30 years old and Genes is focusing more on bringing in younger players.
i hope genes calls up sanabria for the qualifiers because hes still not secured used to be that you would be locked in if you played an official competition on a youth tournament but ofcourse corrupted fifa wanted to make it easier for european teams to steal our players so they changed it

I agree it's not Almeida's fault BUT it is his fault that he's always playing that useless Tanque Ferreyra every single time. Is that his son in law or something? It's unbelievable how someone so useless always starts. I never seen anyone miss so many shots on goals in my life.

Almeida took a team of mediocre players to the Copa Libertadores final and was minutes away from winning the whole thing. That's no small feat and trust me I know how crap Ferreyra and Zorro are, I'm not delusional. I still criticize Almeida for continuing with Tanque. Almeida has his faults but you need to give him some credit here. Chiqui Arce for example has better talent available to him and Cerro has crashed out in the first round not only in the Libertadores but the Sudamericana too. And you wanna talk about incredible misses, hows this one?
Y a que delantero de categoria podia traer? si el plaga de Carissimo netto no pone un peso partido por la mitad, es mas le vendio al mejor jugador y capitan que teniamos, en la semifinal de la libertadores, esos kurepas vinieron por un pancho y una coca cola y havia que reforsar el lado izquierdo ya que Ortiz y Arioza se fueron, Bareiro y tanque salvaron muchisimo toda la libartadores y era sentido comun que juegen por que ademas era lo que unico que teniamos, El borracho inutil de chucky solo sirve para meter goles a Carapegua y nada mas, aqui es simple Bareiro nos costo la libertadores, Tanque otro pelotudo que nos podia haver asegurado la cuarta. No es coincidencia que Almeida con un equipo mediocre haya llegado a la final de la libertadores hasi como no fue coincidencia que Almeida resucito un equipo muerto que no ganaba nada hase 65 anios, Lo de los tecnicos siempre van por ciclos y no se si el va a poder mejorar lo que hiso en sus primeros 6 meses o no, mas teniendo la directiva de mierda que tenemos que estan por vender todo lo que encuentran, pero lo que el hiso por Olimpia nadie se lo quita, pase lo que pase de ahora en mas.

Cerro won because they have talented young players while we have a retirement home for a team who quickly got outpaced. Almeida pisses me off..always using the same old useless players (Ferreyra,Meza)) and never giving any opportunities to the few young talented players we have (Biancucchi, Huth, Prono) Almeida has no interest in developing youth and thats the difference between us and Cerro right now. I hope Pumpido comes back because at this rate we're gonna be playing with Julio Enciso and Chito Ayala next season.
Castorino has scored against Cerro and Libertad. Es borracho but you don't really think we're better off with Ferreyra and Dante do you? Even a drunk and high Castorino would have scored that goal against Mineiros that Tanque missed. Last night's game was a joy to watch. The youngsters played really well..the Romeros where both excellent, Gomez was solid, and Sanabria well he's on a whole nother level, it's hard to believe he's only 17. Ofcourse Bolivia was terrible and Argentina will be the real test but I'm confident we can beat them with this team.
What a shit defense but ofcourse that's expected when you have Marcos Caceres and Candia back there. Candia got owned by Rubio Nu for christ sakes and Genes calls him to play against Argentina? What a joke. I usually like Genes' call ups but please nomore Candia, Caceres, and Victor Ayala...they absolutely suck.
