I got mine - after a scare! I wonder what team we will have out? I can't imagine many of the Copa America squad being selected.

    Germany-Brazil, 10th August in Stuttgart

    From DFB website..............

"Tickets for the Brazil game in great demand

    Brazil game: Big fan interest
Huge demand for the classic: More than 40,000 tickets for the game of the German national team against world champion Brazil on 10August are (from 20.45 clock, live on ARD) in Stuttgart a few hours sold after the launch.

With a few individual tickets, the remaining places have been reserved. After expiration of the reservation period, the seats automatically go back into the sale, if the reservation is not honored."

am I the onlyy one who thinks Dani Alves SUCKS at the Seleção? Am I the only one who notices how many passes he misses, how innefective he is???

its true... Barça players can ONLY shine at Barça. They are not that good.

oh, what about Xavi, Iniesta, and all other players from Barça who shone at the Spanish National team??? Well, the Spanish national team IS Barcelona + a few from other clubs. Even their playing style is the same as Barça.

He doesn't play as well as he does for Barcelona but he still plays a lot better than most of the other players in Seleção.

I don't think he has been that bad for the NT. He had a couple of good games for the NT.

Daniel Alves is not my concern, if he continues to play this poor Mano will go with Maicon who is solid and better defensively. My concern is Andre Santos. The guy is a disaster and his substitute Adriano is just as bad.

What has given you enough to say Adriano has been bad? He wasn't poor at Barcelona this season and he has hardly had a chance under Mano.

So RM pays a boat load of money for Coentrao who is a LB. I wonder how Marcelo feels about Mourinho and RM right about now ...

Adriano is not the solution for Mano. The problem is even further. Brazil hasn’t had a left back since Roberto Carlos. That’s the greater problem.

We don't need a craque at LB like Roberto Carlos, Leandro, or even a Branco, etc. That's where our mentality is all wrong because we have been spoiled.

What are the options other than Adriano? Marcelo has had a falling out with Mano. I haven't heard much of Filipe Luis since his move to Atletico. Michel Bastos wasn't that great this season with Lyon. Adriano is a solid option and is a better all around player than André Santos.

Marcelo deserves the position but with his stupidity and immaturity he got on Mano’s bad side and didn’t get the call up. With time I think he will be the #6. Also we are not spoiled with RC bc in 2006 he was a disaster. I just think there are younger guys like Fabio for ManUtd and Danilo for Santos that should be considered

Fabio may eventually become an option for us down the road, but I still have my questions about him. I've been more impressed with Rafael thus far, who has seen more playing time.

Danilo from Santos is a rightback, so he wouldn't solve our LB problems. Santos' LBs are Leo and Alex Sandro.

Rafael is also a RB. Leo no Thanks. Alex Sandro got called up for the Under-20 but got hurt last week.

Just be prepared that my Tricolor paulista will take you guys down tonight. DagoGOL!!!!!

Oh a São Paulino that likes Dagoberto... My são paulino friends all hate him because " he has no football brains" and "flops in the decisive games" as they say. I can't say much because I rarely ever see you guys play.

Alex Sandro is out for a month, quite unlucky but he will still participate in the U21 WC... Though he has to improve a lot to be Seleção material.

What happened to Diogo, btw? I watched some of his games for our Brazilian youth teams and he seemed to be a very good LB, yet it seems he didn't do well for your professional team since you are using Juan...

I know Rafael is a RB, but he is a lot more tested than Fabio. I believe both of them have been played at both fullback positions in some games as well (correct me if I am wrong, benni).

As far as tonight, we are going to do you a favor; Carpegiani will be shown the door after tonight.:D

Flamengo was going after Diogo at the start of the year, but SPFC asked for too much. I believe he ended up going to Goias on loan.

We could start both Maicon and D. Alves at RB and LB like Dunga did a few times.

I'd like to see Douglas Costa and/or Willian get some consideration for the friendly against Germany next month. They are good young talents who at the very least deserve a look.

IMO, our valid options for 2014 -- based on form, future potential, etc

    Goalies:
    Centerbacks:
    Right-backs:
    Left-backs:
    Defensive Midfielders (primeiro volante):
    "Box-to-box" midfielders (segundo/terceiro homem):
    Playmakers
    Attacking Midfielders/Wingers/Second strikers:
    Strikers (#9s):
I may have forgotten some players. I also may have left some questionable ones out. Of course, there may be someone that appears between now and 2014 that no one really saw developing.

It will be interesting to see who Mano picks for Germany on 10/8/11. The squad will be announced probably at the beginning of next week.

Mano had called Kaká for the Copa America, but he wanted more rest and time with Real Madrid. I would think he would get a call if he is ready.

Diego has already been discussed a bit here. His situation is different from Kaka's. He needs to find a club and play well to merit a call.

Luis Fabiano is still a few weeks away after recovering from surgery. He is still by far our best option with Pato. Nilmar could fill the #9 role, but he is best suited as a second striker.
