Notre Shame are you serious??? Manti Te'No.. and to think people actually voted for him to win the Heisman Trophy.. ahahahahaha
LMAO ESPN is already bringing out the "Where does Nick Saban rank among the greatest college football coaches of all-time?" poll
I have to give props to Saban. The dude knows how to win the big one. A lot of humble pie has been served in South Bend tonight.
Game MVP should have gone to Jones. When all's said and done, Alabama chose to go right at Notre Dame's strength, and their OL, particularly Jones, made it stick. Actually more sort of welded it... Was everyone else being bombarded with Lou Holtz' Catholicism all night?
I wouldn't know. I can barely understand anything he says. I must say, there were a lot of one-sided big bowl games this season. Hopefully the NFL divisional playoff games are good. The BCS bowls and the NFL wildcard games weren't very compelling.
I didn't mean the commentary-- the whole game here had a "Lou Holtz advises lapsed Catholics to go back to church ad" in every commercial op.
Probably thought he was about to die while watching the game. Had to repent for all of his bias and BS analysis, if thats what you wanna call it.
2012 season officially over.. everything from this point on is now considered 2013. New Thread dwi carpetbaggers: https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/...t-college-football-conference-thread.1980730/
Just got back from Miami. Didn't manage to get into the game. We had five people in our group (three had tickets) so we ended up watching at a bar. Oh well, I still got a weekend in Miami so it's not like I had to go out in Fargo for 3-4 days. Anyway, that was awesome. I know neutrals wanted a game, but we Alabama fans got the slaughter we were hoping it would be. I thought we'd win big, but I didn't think it'd be the embarrassment that it was. I was thinking more in the 27-10 range, not the up 35-0 in the third quarter range. I will say their fanbase got what it deserved. I've never had more shit talked to me for minding my own business walking down the street in a Bama cap or t-shirt. It was a weekend of being called "redneck" (as if Indiana isn't predominantly a cornfield/big farm) and "hillbilly" and being told "run Forest run" in exaggerated Southern accents. Their older fans seemed nice enough, but good grief the under 40 set among ND fans was the most antagonistic, joyless bunch I've encountered in a while.
I don't know you personally, but I know you're not a redneck. Those people were assholes. That said, Alabama in particular and the SEC in general have worked very, very hard to earn the reputation they have outside the world of school football. If it hadn't been the Irish saying it, it would have been someone else. And Indiana isn't really representative of the Irish- it's much more representative of the Hoosiers. Stupidity + Energy = Youth[/quote]
That is why Notre Dame fans are the most loathsome fans in the country. Arrogance reigns supreme. Here in NYC area there are tons of them and when Notre Dame wins they come out of the woodwork spouting all types of nonsense.
Let me get this straight. You root for Alabama football, Yankees baseball, Lakers basketball, Manchester United and Real Madrid (admit it) soccer and you live in Mexico/Argentina, right?
He claimed a couple years ago to be living in a tiny town called Vincent, AL. My guess is that he's using Alabama the way thge rest of the SEC does- backing their own teams until they get exposed as lacking, then suddenly becoming SEC fans and getting fat on whatever scraps Alabama's success can get them. 12 members of a big inbred family plus Kevin Sumlin and James Franklin.
Winning championships and taking recruits away from AU, it's what we do. I wonder what Brando has to say now?
